I didn't see the game yesterday however it seems that there was a bad call which set the tone of the game.

Let's go Royals, get 3 of 4 and set the tone for the 2nd half.

So it looks like Baaahston lost also, so we're still 1 and a half games ahead for the 3rd WC spot, and 1 game behind the Twins for the 2nd WC spot. Going to be a good 2nd half of the season.

Yesterday's game really affected me. Maybe I'm overreacting. It is just a baseball game, after all. But throughout the years of watching hundreds of baseball games, I've never felt like I was ever watching something that could potentially be illegitimate, until yesterday. It kinda broke something inside me.

I'll hope for the best today, and continue to root hard for the Royals, but these umpires can all die in a housefire. And Lugo needs the edges to make his living, I don't expect him to get the calls, but hopefully I'm wrong, and today is a good, clearn game and we come out on top. LFG.

I was curious if Witt could ever touch this record, so I looked it up.

The MLB record for triples in a season is 36 from 1912.

So no, not touching that one. Ever. One of the more ridiculous records out there.

Curtis Granderson had 23 in 2007. Practically everyone with 20 or more did it in the early 1900’s or late 1800’s.

Somehow catcher Evan Gattis recorded 11 triples a few seasons ago. Bizarre for a big boy like him.
