***Our 2024 Wide Receivers Probably Definitely Don't Suck - Official Thread***

They hopefully can get open, they likely won't drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps shouldn't be slow and terrible. These guys are probably definitely good.

Your WR Roster for 2024:

Rashee Rice
Marquise "Hollywood" Brown
Xavier Worthy
Juju Smith-Schuster
Justin Watson
Mecole Hardman
Skyy "Shit Stain" Moore

This is the 2024 Threepeat version of last year's thread:

Here's to a good year!

I think they're gonna be good because they play for my favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs!!

I remember homering it up last year about this time thinking we were set at WR. I know we’re much better off now. I’m excited to see us at full strength. Glad we have had plenty of time to gameplan for life without Brown.

JuJu "don't sleep on me" Schuster
Xavier "thank god I dont have Quin Ewers throwing to me" Worthy
Rashee "not in jail" Rice
Justin "coaches son sneaky fast" Watson
Mecole "smarter than Toney & Ross" Hardman

As someone who was not thrilled about our approach last season with our WRs I’m extremely excited about our WRs this year.

JuJu, maybe my knee will hold out.

Xavier, I better see more snaps as a rookie than Rice did...

Rashee. He's the man.

Justin, fine for what he is.

Mecole, low bar.

Say what you want about Skyy Moore's talent or lack thereof, but I definitely wouldn't put Hardman's football IQ above his.

Gold.

Worthy is the most polished rookie WR that Andy has ever had. He can run all of the routes and play all of the positions. If he's smart enough to have learned most of the playbook already, then I'm predicting he leads the team in receiving yards.

My predictions

Worthy - 80 catches - 1200 yards - 11 TDs
Rice - 100 catches - 1100 yards - 13 TDs
Kelce - 95 catches - 1050 yards - 6 TDs
Brown - 40 catches - 450 yards - 3 TDs
Pacheco - 35 catches - 320 yards - 2 TDs

That's my top 5 pass catchers next year. Brown struggles to get as much playing time as he would have because Worthy is so good.

I'd say it's pretty close.

I'm pumped. Literally cannot wait for this season to start.

That would be awesome. Id switch Brown with Worthy myself but if he could get 1200 that would be unreal.

Rice 1100 yards
Brown 1000 yards
Kelce 875 yards
Worthy 475 yards
Juju 400 yards
Watson 350 yards
Pacheco 325 yarda

Excellent use of the phrase, “shit stain.”

Worthy is hitting 1K, I can feel it. Brown will be more like a 600 yard player for us. A solid role player that's not always available.

The least amount of yards Brown has ever had playing 16 games is 769 and he had Lamar Jackson throwing to him who until last year had never had more than 3100 yards passing.

I'm assuming he will not play the first game and then play the remaining ones.

The only reason Rice had so many yards last year is because he had to. Andy has not had rookies play big roles before and they tried super hard to not have to use Rice but Skyy, Toney, MVS and James were so bad/hurt that they had no choice.

If Brown only has 600 yards IMO it is because he gets injured again.

Which seems pretty plausible to me.

If Brown can play the rest of the season after he comes back he'll be closer to 800, it just seems pretty likely he'll miss some more games. I expect Rice, Kelce and Worthy to get lots of targets. I think Worthy is going to be a key player on offense too. He looked fantastic in preseason

I'm pretty sure Keysor had an article that said Worthy was running concepts in that one preseason game then Rice did the whole first half of last season. Worthy is polished and isn't your typical rookie WR. He's gonna play alot and get a ton of targets.

He's played in 16 games 2 times in 5 seasons. He's already starting this season off with an injury in his first preseason game that'll keep him out of at the very least 1 regular season game. Chances are pretty high he isn't playing in 16 games.

I didn't watch much of his work with the Cardinals. But I remember him ripping some WIDE ASS OPEN shit with the Ravens, some of it on crossers. I'm interested to see what Reid has planned. He's always been good on filling clearouts, if Worthy draws the attention he did in preseason, there will be ****ing PROBLEMS for dudes trying to chase Brown streaking across the middle after they lose the angle and the safeties are bailed the **** out towards Worthy.

**** man, let's GO. Is it Thursday yet?

Womble 09-05-2024 10:48 PM

It took Xavier Worthy a few hours to equal the amount of TDs that Skyy Moore has amassed in his 2 years here.

Overall good from our WRs. Rice was awesome. Worthy did his thing. Watson got his one catch. Juju should have hauled in that pass. The other drops were by a RB and a TE.
