That's like putting a silk hat on a pig.
|
Former Alabama players have now officially signed contracts this offseason worth more than $1B dollars.

Did you know no Alabama player has ever scored a point in the Superbowl.

Then it's very misleading...he was an Alabama player. Maybe it should change to graduate of... |

The Chiefs are going to pay a lot of money to McDuffie and Karlaftis in the coming years. Good thing it won’t hit until Chris Jones is done playing
|
I guess they're going all in while their franchise QB is still on his rookie contract. LMAO

If you have to torture a stat that badly, just keep it in your pocket. It's dumb. |
Denver denvering.

I thought that when I typed it... either way, a guy spends 3 years at Bama and is in the NFL... he's a Bama guy, as well as a Sooner. You'll see so much of this now with the portal. |

Shit - the dude GRADUATED from Alabama. Got a Coms degree there. Not an "Alabama Player" Okaaaaaay.... Mecca gonna Mecca. Someone on the television told him something so he's just gonna sing that song like he was told... |

Still a dumb stat, but I bet that’s the actual wording. |

Found this... sounds like a CBS generated story.
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/s...tinue-in-2024/ "You might be asking, didn't Jalen Hurts run for three touchdowns in last year's Super Bowl? He did, but because he finished his career at Oklahoma, Hurts doesn't count an an Alabama alum." "Speaking of quarterbacks, the first three Super Bowl MVPs hailed from Alabama. Bart Starr led the Packers to the wins in the first two Super Bowls. Joe Namath followed suit by leading the greatest upset in NFL history in Super Bowl III. But neither player physically scored a point in those games. In January 1977, former Raiders quarterback Ken Stabler became the third Alabama quarterback to lead his team to a Super Bowl win. He threw a touchdown pass, but he didn't run for one, thus continuing the scoring drought. " Such a bogus thing to throw out there... now that I've read this article, it's a lame thing to throw out. The article isn’t consistent when it mentions how Stabler and Hurts are disqualified |
Surtain is in a great spot in Denver, because he almost never has to face an offense that's trying to come back from a deficit.
|
I guess by that logic Jamaal Charles isn't considered a Chiefs player. The 2nd best TE of all time isn't considered a Chiefs player, but instead is a falcon.

Not an Alabama player. |

God damn, what a stupid ****ing statistic. It kind of irritates me that Mecca had to bring it up. Damn him |

Has not flipped the result of a single game in his career

Gates and Winslow are at 5-6. So 3 or 4 is the debate here - Tony G or Sharpe. Tony G beats him on numbers, Sharpe kills him on hardware. At their respective apexes, (1998-2001) it was Tony getting the All Pro nods but a pretty good argument exists that Sharpe was declining at that point while Tony was still ascending. But ultimately I don't think there's a huge distinction between their best levels. Both guys were spectacular at their best. Longevity, though, is Tony G in a walk. So regardless of hardware, I'm giving Tony the 3 spot. Kelce Gronk Gonzalez Sharpe Gates Winslow Everyone else (there's a pretty big drop after Winslow, IMO) 270 games from Gonzelez, virtually all of them at a very high level (whereas Gates fell off really hard) is pretty damn incredible, though. To put that in perspective, Kelce would need to play another SEVEN YEARS to hit those figures. Dude was made of granite. |

Jalen Hurts set school records at 'Bama. |
The conundrum here is do you get the bag or do yo sign a more team friendly deal in the hopes to get traded to a team that isn't ass?
|
Crazy thing is, in two or three years this will seem like a good deal.

Yeah, by then this deal will look pretty standard. Nuts, imo, but probably true. |
they were obviously going to pay him, he's one of like 3 players I can even name on the broncos and I watch them 2 times per year

No way in hell Gates is above Gonzalez.

Right now it's Gronk Kelce Sharpe Newsome Mackey Gates Gonzalez Winslow |

Sharpe is defensible but is still homeriffic. Gates over Gonzalez is just flat being a hater. Gates did the same things Gonzalez did, but at a lower level and for less time. There is NO argument, none whatsoever, in favor of putting Gates ahead of Gonzelez. Doing so shreds any credibility you may have in the discussion. |

Considering how bad the Broncos will be this year I don't see the point.

They drafted Worthy because he's an excellent wide receiver, and area we were deficient in.

Surtain is a Bartee/Warfield level corner being paid like he's Darrelle Revis ROFL
