Oh, this has a chance to be so cool.

But my favorite part is "6-8 weeks".

6-8 weeks is good to hear. Especially on what's been a stressful Monday thus far.

Hammock Parties 09-16-2024 01:46 PM

Just for a visit. JFC slow down.

notorious 09-16-2024 01:47 PM

He will be kicking it in KC again.

KCBlitz 09-16-2024 01:47 PM

I was thinking about this yesterday. It’s time to forgive if he has any game left.

ToxSocks 09-16-2024 01:48 PM

If we sign him, and he sticks....and he doesn't suck....and we win the SB....it'd be a helluva retribution story for him.

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-16-2024 01:48 PM

Didn't they say he'd never play for the Chiefs again?

Yes, hence my OP edit. I mean, he is technically returning. For a visit. But sorry to have jumped the gun with the thread title I can't fix.

Sassy Squatch 09-16-2024 01:49 PM

I thought Butker and Araiza looked good personally.

smithandrew051 09-16-2024 01:49 PM

Son of a bitch. Is Butker hurt too?

FloridaMan88 09-16-2024 01:50 PM

2018 Kareem Hunt will not be walking through that door.

Washed up.

Mephistopheles Janx 09-16-2024 01:50 PM

At least he has played in Andy's system before so it won't be something completely new to him and he will, likely, be up to speed faster than pretty much anyone other than JMC.

ToxSocks 09-16-2024 01:51 PM

**** it, someone get on the phone with Jamal Charles. Lets do it. My body is ready.

FloridaMan88 09-16-2024 01:52 PM

Kimble Anders would thrive in Andy’s offense.

ROYC75 09-16-2024 01:52 PM

Kareem is seeking/asking for a Title, Hunt!

KC_Connection 09-16-2024 01:53 PM

Bring him home.

I wonder what he has left in the tank? If he sticks, he won't be what he was when he was here last time, but hopefully will show out enough to make a difference.

Peyton Hendershot just got waived so that's 2 roster spots open, something is brewing.

Donovan Smith + a RB.

That's probably a good call. Was trying to think who else they'd be looking at. Gotta be him.

They know this three-peat is at great risk if LT doesn't improve in big spots.

notorious 09-16-2024 01:58 PM

Let's just say, for the sake of dreaming, that he comes back and plays like he did 5 years ago....

Intredasting.

He’s probably washed but this still makes me geek out.

He was so fun to watch here.

DenverChief 09-16-2024 02:00 PM

He made a mistake, he has learned and he has earned an opportunity for a second chance. I hope he has some gas left in the tank. Would love to see him earn a ring with Pat.

tk13 09-16-2024 02:00 PM

He's definitely not what he once was, but I do think he'll have a better shot at success in KC just because everyone goes light boxes against the Chiefs to the extreme. As opposed to Cleveland who centers their offense around the run.

Saw it again yesterday. Bengals would rather give up 400 yards rushing than give up one big pass play. Not sure we'll see the big plays of 2018, but he'd be a guy they want to pound the offense ahead 5 yards at a time.

He cost the team $100K that is what is brewing lol

DRM08 09-16-2024 02:03 PM

Do it Clark, Veach, & Andy. This country is all about second chances & redemption. Kareem had great chemistry with Mahomes, including Kareem’s ability in the passing game.

He was active yesterday after that...assuming he comes back to the PS.

comochiefsfan 09-16-2024 02:05 PM

I also would like to see him get a ring.

He made a bad mistake when he was really young and he paid severely for it.

He was part of that core in 2018 that was so fun to watch. It’d be cool to see a redemption arc for him here.

Frazod 09-16-2024 02:05 PM

He's always had good hands, so at the very least he can be an asset in the screen game etc.

We need him for depth alone........

Carson is our starting running back and he undrafted.... We need depth

The one thing about this is Hunt will give it everything he has so he can make it right in KC

**** it bring back Frank Clark too while you’re at it!

Playoff sacks! We need playoff sacks for the three peat!!!!

TEX 09-16-2024 02:14 PM

****ING AWESOME!!!

O.city 09-16-2024 02:15 PM

Why would they bring Donovan Smith back after a game or 2?

wazu 09-16-2024 02:16 PM

I mean, at worst this is just this year's LeSean McCoy/Leveon Bell, but way more fun. It's just part of our annual Super Bowl journey.

Otter 09-16-2024 02:16 PM

Well, this thread has potential to bring up some old fist pounding "it will never happen" posts if one were so inclined to invest in a search.

JPH83 09-16-2024 02:16 PM

Obviously we'd be getting a version well past his peak...but I'm not sure he's washed. Looks like there may be a little left, and frankly we need depth there.

This is a 6-8 week stop gap.

We aren’t going out and getting an elite RB.

This is someone who knows the offense and has chemistry with Mahomes who can hold down the fort until Pacheco heals. Seems fine to me.

VAGOMO 4 LIFE! 09-16-2024 02:17 PM

Hunt in his prime > Pacheco

C'mon man - not even a fair comparison.

Kareem averaged around 400 rushing yards per season as the #2 behind Nick Chubb with Mayfield, Brissett, Watson, Flacco, Walker and Thompson-Robinson at QB. The Browns have been a dumpster fire for years...

They don’t need him to be 2018 Kareem. The defense is better now so the offense doesn’t need 40 points every week to win. Just get Kareem to help convert first downs and keep the chains moving.

MahomesMagic 09-16-2024 02:20 PM

For a situation similar to what happened yesterday.

Kingsley getting overwhelmed by a veteran pass rusher and the Chiefs needing a better Plan B than Wanya Morris to protect Mahomes’ blind side.

We’re getting the band back together!! Should we sign Damien Williams too?

Lzen 09-16-2024 02:29 PM

Interesting. I guess I'm okay with this if he's still got something left in the tank. Obviously, they aren't bringing him in to be the starter while Pop heals, so that's alright.

Now that was a RB that was perfect for this system. Too bad he couldn't stay healthy. Though, he was great down the stretch of 2019 and in the playoffs.

Look I want Kingsley to continue starting until it proves completely untenable but had we lost yesterday, it was going to be almost 100% because of how poorly he played.

So I’d like to have a vet option available if he can’t improve like we hope. Cause I’m not confident Wanya would do any better.

Could easily cost them the season if Hendrickson does that in a playoff game.
