***TNF Week 3: Patriots @ Jets***

Jets (1-1) hosting New England (1-1).... NYJ favored by 6.

pugsnotdrugs19 09-19-2024 03:17 PM

Should be a clinic on handing the football off.

Megatron96 09-19-2024 03:41 PM

Should be a Jets W. Really just curious as to whether or not AR starts throwing the ball a little more. Though against NE, the gameplan may be to just pound the ball 35+ times and get out of there.

pugsnotdrugs19 09-19-2024 03:42 PM

I think New England is the better coached team...

Might not matter as much on the short week however. Talent wins out when you are playing on fumes and beat up.

BlackHelicopters 09-19-2024 04:25 PM

Jets for the win.

Sassy Squatch 09-19-2024 04:28 PM

Damn, I'm not seeing this as a surefire Jets win at all. That team was already looking sus and they lost some pretty important pieces already defensively. Patriots look outright competent.

smithandrew051 09-19-2024 04:30 PM

**** both teams

FloridaMan88 09-19-2024 04:56 PM

With the Jets on all of these national TV games… thank God no more Zach Wilson.

Pepe Silvia 09-19-2024 04:58 PM

I like that the Jets went back to their old school helmet.

He's the best QB out in Denver so I imagine we'll have to see him again at some point; just not in primetime.

crayzkirk 09-19-2024 05:39 PM

Don't care much about either team however has there been an instance where all teams from a division played on Thursday night in consecutive weeks? Buf/Mia and NY/NE?

Why Not? 09-19-2024 05:41 PM

What a POS game.

wazu 09-19-2024 05:46 PM

For a Thursday this isn't that bad, we've been spoiled. We get two 1-1 teams, divisional rivalry, Aaron Rodgers first home game with the Jets since last season. Patriots usually own the Jets - will they still? Seems kind of unlikely but I wouldn't be surprised if it happens.

Thursday Night special!

Easy 6 09-19-2024 06:01 PM

One of those games where if NE was home I'd bet on them

But they're not, and in spite of his many flaws Rodgers is flat out better than Brissett... that plus home cooking should prevail for the NYJ

WhawhaWhat 09-19-2024 06:16 PM

Poor Garrett Wilson gets one chump after another throwing him the ball. He's super talented but won't ever get recognized like he should until he can get out of NY.

wazu 09-19-2024 06:17 PM

Fireman Ed hams it up a lot more these days than I remember.

DRM08 09-19-2024 06:24 PM

wazu 09-19-2024 06:35 PM

There is ****ing nothing wrong with that tackle.

Easy 6 09-19-2024 06:36 PM

Dumbass bodyslam, can't do that

Vladimir_Kyrilytch 09-19-2024 06:41 PM

That's why defense doesn't win championships. A ref throws a 15 yarder for tackling the ball carrier which only makes sense in flag football and your team loses. Gotta have the offense.

wazu 09-19-2024 06:42 PM

You wrap up, guy is off the ground, what are you supposed to do? Set him back down gently and let him go?

Easy 6 09-19-2024 06:42 PM

Yep, Jets gonna cook at home

Rodgers > Brissett, and Mayo has done nothing to distinguish himself from Saleh... all else equal the NYJ have the better QB at home, easy math

mr. tegu 09-19-2024 06:46 PM

Patriots going to need some turnovers.

Megatron96 09-19-2024 06:48 PM

Has Rodgers taken a snap under center ryet?

Vladimir_Kyrilytch 09-19-2024 06:49 PM

The Pats just need to throw deep and hope for PI calls. Their offense has no chance otherwise.

Megatron96 09-19-2024 06:49 PM

Huh. A little ticky tack

wazu 09-19-2024 06:50 PM

Weak holding call.

Mecca 09-19-2024 06:54 PM

What in the ****, Rodgers is feeding Lazard instead of Garrett Wilson.

Megatron96 09-19-2024 06:57 PM

Oh boy. Rodgers is heating up

I bet he thinks that Lazard is one of our alien lizard overlords, and he's trying to curry favor with them. Smart move.

Megatron96 09-19-2024 06:59 PM

2nd time's the charm?

Megatron96 09-19-2024 07:01 PM

That's a TD

CasselGotPeedOn 09-19-2024 07:01 PM

Looks like 6 to me

Mecca 09-19-2024 07:02 PM

The Jets are about to blow the Pats out.

Megatron96 09-19-2024 07:02 PM

Knew Rodgers was laying back in the weeds. Dang it.

KC_Connection 09-19-2024 07:02 PM

Where are the doubters here from week 1 that said Rodgers couldn’t play any longer? I’m thinking of one in particular who is about to be badly exposed again.

pugsnotdrugs19 09-19-2024 07:04 PM

Need to see them do it against good competition before I’m fully bought in, but can’t take away from them that they’re handling business so far.

mr. tegu 09-19-2024 07:05 PM

Hilarious the Bengals lost to this team.

DRM08 09-19-2024 07:05 PM

Jets offense looks pretty good tonight

Easy 6 09-19-2024 07:06 PM

This could honestly go either way

The league can protect themselves, or be honest about it... either way the Jets still have all the momentum, Rodgers decided to care tonight

Total shit offensive facemask call

Megatron96 09-19-2024 07:12 PM

Lol, this league is getting so soft. Brissett gets a hug, and the refs stop the play

That ball was uncatchable

mr. tegu 09-19-2024 07:13 PM

They should start playing Maye.

Megatron96 09-19-2024 07:14 PM

15 plays for 20 yards of offense

Easy 6 09-19-2024 07:15 PM

Yeah thats a penalty all day, 4 was handcuffing him like a state trooper

They announced before Week 1 that Maye is the better QB, but they don't want to get him hurt behind that terrible O-line. Congrats on your starting role, Jacoby.

I know but the line hasn’t been that bad. Plus they run a lot.

Pretty sure NE is rolling coverage at Garrett.

Also, Garrett's still learning. I didn't realize he was still a little green but watching him have to be told where to line up, making procedural errors, etc., kinda obvious Garrett is still a little unpolished.

They ended up shanking the FG attempt, but it’s OK for the Jets because the Patriots can’t score.

Mainly referring to the body language between the two of them. Garrett shaking his head after plays and Rodgers giving him the stink eye for it. Just doesn't seem great.

Yeah, Saleh decided to stuff the run and make Brissett throw. Pretty basic, but I know I was curious whether Saleh would figure that out.

Now, that's all NYJ has to do the rest of the game. Brissett ain't passing his way to 3-5 scores in a half. Not in this universe. It's all over but the crying for NE.

Missed that. Well, Garrett needs to get on the same page as the rest of the offense. Rogers needs him to play better, so I expect they'll get themselves sorted out sooner or later. Maybe tonight.

Megatron96 09-19-2024 07:57 PM

I really need NE to find a way to score a few points.

Mecca 09-19-2024 08:05 PM

I didn't notice that Rodgers has some crazy tattoo on his arm.
