***TNF Week 3: Patriots @ Jets***
Jets (1-1) hosting New England (1-1).... NYJ favored by 6.
Should be a clinic on handing the football off.
Should be a Jets W. Really just curious as to whether or not AR starts throwing the ball a little more. Though against NE, the gameplan may be to just pound the ball 35+ times and get out of there.
I think New England is the better coached team...
Might not matter as much on the short week however. Talent wins out when you are playing on fumes and beat up. |
Jets for the win.
Damn, I'm not seeing this as a surefire Jets win at all. That team was already looking sus and they lost some pretty important pieces already defensively. Patriots look outright competent.
**** both teams
With the Jets on all of these national TV games… thank God no more Zach Wilson.
I like that the Jets went back to their old school helmet.

Don't care much about either team however has there been an instance where all teams from a division played on Thursday night in consecutive weeks? Buf/Mia and NY/NE?
What a POS game.
For a Thursday this isn't that bad, we've been spoiled. We get two 1-1 teams, divisional rivalry, Aaron Rodgers first home game with the Jets since last season. Patriots usually own the Jets - will they still? Seems kind of unlikely but I wouldn't be surprised if it happens.

One of those games where if NE was home I'd bet on them
But they're not, and in spite of his many flaws Rodgers is flat out better than Brissett... that plus home cooking should prevail for the NYJ |
Poor Garrett Wilson gets one chump after another throwing him the ball. He's super talented but won't ever get recognized like he should until he can get out of NY.
Fireman Ed hams it up a lot more these days than I remember.
Jets should have kicked the FG

EDIT : damn checked the schedule. divisional games on Thursday Night Football Week 2 Week 3 Week 4 Week 5 Week 6 Week 10 Week 11 Week 12 Week 13 Week 14 Week 15 Week 16 |
that was a weak ass flag
pussies |
Braelon Allen is a beast man.
There is ****ing nothing wrong with that tackle.
Dumbass bodyslam, can't do that
That's why defense doesn't win championships. A ref throws a 15 yarder for tackling the ball carrier which only makes sense in flag football and your team loses. Gotta have the offense.
You wrap up, guy is off the ground, what are you supposed to do? Set him back down gently and let him go?
Yep, Jets gonna cook at home
Rodgers > Brissett, and Mayo has done nothing to distinguish himself from Saleh... all else equal the NYJ have the better QB at home, easy math |

Misread this. damn. 2006 Week 13. Ravens Bengals 2006 Week 14. Browns Steelers |
Patriots going to need some turnovers.
Has Rodgers taken a snap under center ryet?
The Pats just need to throw deep and hope for PI calls. Their offense has no chance otherwise.
Huh. A little ticky tack
Weak holding call.
What in the ****, Rodgers is feeding Lazard instead of Garrett Wilson.
Oh boy. Rodgers is heating up

2nd time's the charm?
That's a TD
Looks like 6 to me
The Jets are about to blow the Pats out.
Knew Rodgers was laying back in the weeds. Dang it.
Where are the doubters here from week 1 that said Rodgers couldn’t play any longer? I’m thinking of one in particular who is about to be badly exposed again.
Need to see them do it against good competition before I’m fully bought in, but can’t take away from them that they’re handling business so far.
Hilarious the Bengals lost to this team.
Jets offense looks pretty good tonight
This could honestly go either way
The league can protect themselves, or be honest about it... either way the Jets still have all the momentum, Rodgers decided to care tonight |

Total shit offensive facemask call
Lol, this league is getting so soft. Brissett gets a hug, and the refs stop the play
That ball was uncatchable |
They should start playing Maye.
15 plays for 20 yards of offense
Yeah thats a penalty all day, 4 was handcuffing him like a state trooper

I kinda think Garrett Wilson and Aaron Rodgers hate each other.

Wth is NE doing? |

Pretty sure NE is rolling coverage at Garrett. Also, Garrett's still learning. I didn't realize he was still a little green but watching him have to be told where to line up, making procedural errors, etc., kinda obvious Garrett is still a little unpolished. |

Yeah, Saleh decided to stuff the run and make Brissett throw. Pretty basic, but I know I was curious whether Saleh would figure that out. Now, that's all NYJ has to do the rest of the game. Brissett ain't passing his way to 3-5 scores in a half. Not in this universe. It's all over but the crying for NE. |
Quote:
Missed that. Well, Garrett needs to get on the same page as the rest of the offense. Rogers needs him to play better, so I expect they'll get themselves sorted out sooner or later. Maybe tonight. |
I really need NE to find a way to score a few points.
I didn't notice that Rodgers has some crazy tattoo on his arm.
