Offense still ass
Welp, this game is probably over already.
So which three batters should we add next year?
Both ****ing homers exact same spot, exact same pitch
Welp it was a good run
Singer is so soft mentally.
That's why they went after Chapman this offseason
Royals are cooked. They MAY back into the playoffs but it has 2-game scoreless sweep all over it. But odds are at this point they won’t make it anyway. I’ll be at 1-2 of the DC games this week to give my best efforts since I am here and those games are highly consequential, but man they just ran out of gas.
Was about to switch over but nah...
Watched KU football's season end already today, don't need to double up with this squad |
I wouldn’t miss a game all year and the last two nights I’ve just given up after the first inning when the other team scored because I know we can’t score a single run.

It's insane but he has some stuff to be a really, really good pitcher. |
This team couldn't beat its way out of a wet paper bag. Bobby Witt and a bunch of shit.
Bobby has to be kicking himself for signing that deal with this garbage franchise.
Can’t believe Frazier hasn’t worked out in the lead off spot. All stats would tell you he should succeed. Truly a mystery.
Awful
Who cares if they end up backing into time playoffs anyway. I highly doubt they even score a run in 2 games.
I miss scoring runs

Massey’s body language trotting to first on the groundout… these guys need to wake the f up. Someone send them all a pager message.

MJ "Cement Shoes" Melendez
Welp.
RIP
Epic choke job. They are completely gassed. They have no energy and no answers.
Hey, is Stratton off the Il yet? If so, let's put him in too.

LMAO LMAO LMAO LMAO LMAO LMAO

This team is DONE.
Will finish getting swept tomorrow by Snell. Maybe get one out of three against Nats on the road. And then get swept by Atlanta to finish the season since they’ll still be fighting for a playoff spot. I don’t know if they’re soft and they have just given up or they’re just tired and worn down and don’t have anything left to give? Whatever it is, they’re done this season. Time to close the book on 2024. Some significant (and obvious) areas to address this offseason. Hopefully Sherm is willing to open the checkbook since he wants his new stadium. |
Just a pathetic ass performance
May be the biggest choke job in MLB history
Well, slap my ass and call me Charlie.
Just remember that the Royals will have to face Chris Sale and Max Fried in Atlanta
I know they care, they just suck other than Bobby. Sal looks old. Only a very few others should even be on a major league roster.
Fans abandoning them this easily? Look up the 2006 Cardinals. They'd be far from the first mediocre team to get in and go on a run.
I mean, I know losing Vinnie was a big blow to this team and lineup, but if they’re THIS bad without him, we’ve got a LOT bigger problems than Vinnie.
Didn’t realize how devoid of leadership this team was without Vinnie. No one there to take on his role and motivate the guys. Anyone know what Raul Ibanez is doing these days?? |
the clay curse lives on
Bases loaded no out down 2 ninth inning. Let's go Orioles!
Quote:
This team has ZERO chance of getting in and going on a run. ZERO |
Henderson single! Tie game!

Orioles just tied the game!! Runner on second and third with no outs!!

They’re making it. |
Tigers are going to win. Orioles falling apart.
of course detroit is still going to win. GD Baltimore runner at second and third nobody out and you can't score him.

The Tigers are up 6-4 on the Orioles in the 10th. |
Don't worry guys. Blake Snell going tomorrow for the Giants.
This will have to be one of the biggest collapses in MLB history.
Quote:
Either way, the Tigers are not a very good team and two of these AL Central mediocre teams have to end up making it given how bad the AL is. The Royals are still the odds-on favorite to do so right now despite you abandoning them. |
Quote:
...but as a reminder we lost 106 games last season |
Quote:
The 1987 Toronto Blue Jays season was the franchise's 11th season of Major League Baseball. It resulted in the Blue Jays finishing second in the American League East with a record of 96 wins and 66 losses. They had been in first place by 3½ games over the Detroit Tigers with a week left to play, but they dropped their next seven games in a row, capped off by a sweep at the hands of Detroit at Tiger Stadium on the last weekend of the season, and lost the division by two games. |

Meh, we're not out of it yet. 7 games left.
Quote:
WTF are you to be in here slinging shit? |
Quote:
And slinging shit? I'm telling you the odds are in their favor and you're ignoring them for no good reason. You remind me of the people who wrote off the Chiefs after the Raiders loss last year. None of this matters as long as they get in the playoffs. |
The only saving grace is that the royals do better against good pitchers
Quote:
Just six days ago they were 6 up for a playoff spot and almost ready to clinch. Now they’re 1 up and Detroit and Minny are likely to go flying right on by. If they can’t beat a below average SF team at home, I fail to see how they’re gonna win even 2-3 games on the road vs. Wash. and Atlanta. |
It MIGHT be over
If they get in, great.
If they don't, whatever. |

If they don’t, fire everyone. |
Best part of baseball - game in less than 24 hours.

i purposely didnt watch or check scores today, thought that might help.
Made it worse apparently. My god........this is excrutiating. |

Some of you guys may not know much baseball history (and that’s ok). This won’t even be close to an all time collapse.
Still sucks and brings a fun season to an “out like a lamb” type finish but no one wil think much of it again after next week. |

For the Royals? Absolutely. This time a week ago we were 6 games up on a playoff spot going for a sweep of the Pirates. Now? Yikes If they don’t end up making the playoffs (and that’s probably pretty damn likely at this point), then yeah, it’s a pretty ****ing big all time collapse for the Boys in Blue. |
Embarrassing.
