The Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints are two of the most storied franchises in NFL history. They've squared off 12 times since 1972 with the former holding the 7-5 series advantage. The Chiefs and Saints are now preparing for their quadrennial meeting on Monday Night Football.

It’d be really nice to start this game by kicking off and then forcing a quick 3 and out.

As good as our defense has been, I’d like to see them jumpstart the crowd with a fast start.

Monticore 10-07-2024 05:56 AM

Hard to believe we only gave 16 games left to play.

Rather not give the team any hope this time and I think the opponent would also prefer a quick death it’s more humane

Chris Meck 10-07-2024 06:51 AM

The prevailing wisdom is that the Mahomes/Hill connection was all about speed.

That was certainly a part of it.

But I think even MORE important was Hill's elite ball tracking ability. We have had speed since...but not the ball tracking ability. Hardman's lousy at it. MVS was lousy at it and then often couldn't pull in a ball that hit him in the hands.

Worthy has that ball tracking ability. That allows Mahomes to just chuck it out there and let him go get it in a way that we haven't had since Hill.

I really think we see it more and more as the season goes on.

I hope so. The one in LA as beautiful.

For some reason, Pat seems to throw a flatter deep ball. It's something he's seemingly always done. THat one he got high up in the air and let the WR run under it.

I can see Kareem getting 2 TDs tonight. I think Reid wanted him to get his TD at home and that's why he pulled him for Perine on the goal line last week.

Kareem will have a big game today I bet.

I kinda feel like this game might be a loss but the chiefs will win by 3. IDC if we lose, take chances to get the offense gelling together and figuring out how to go without Rice for the foreseeable future. air it out and if we lose we lose it won't matter

Worthy is going to get more involved in general. They used him like Tryeek to convert a couple huge 3rd downs last week, and I expect more and more of that. He gets open all day long. IMOP he's going to be a damn good football player. Hell, he already is...

It would be an affordable loss for sure. But it would also be nice to win on MNF at home before the bye week.

I'll be interesting to see how the offense performs.

we should def be on upset watch here. if we can run the ball w hunt early i’ll feel a lot less nervous about it. but the saints match up pretty well against us, and our wrs are, well, ya kno…at the very least its mascara on the other side so very good chance he blows any sort of upset bid lol

You’re probably thinking about the 2020 Buccaneers game. Tyreek had 200 yards in the 1st quarter after they tried single-covering him with Jamel Dean lol

O.city 10-07-2024 09:08 AM

Oops, I missed your “home” qualifier.

.. Best I can remember off the top of my head was the Bengals in 2018. I remember in Pat’s early years, his road split stats blew his home splits out of the water. For whatever reason, him and our offense performed so much better on the road than at Arrowhead. So that’s probably why we don’t have many home primetime blowouts on the record.

Yep, it was like a year and a half after the Super Bowl blowout and regular season. It’s always nice to beat Tom Brady but still felt pretty hollow.
