Chiefs Planet categorized as phishing?
1 Attachment(s)
My employer has blocked access to CP And it gives this reason. Can someone explain why CP is categorized as a phishing site? Mods? Kyle? I'm guessing they use a service that incorrectly categorized this site. I did check in the Norton website test and it says CP is safe. Any idea why whatever service would do otherwise? And perhaps you could get them to change it?

The boob thread.
|
They probably specified "phishing" for lack of a "we're not paying you to shitpost" status. There probably isn't anything on this site's end that would change your employer's stance on greasing the wheels for you to access it on company time/hardware.
|
Trolling is basically emotional phishing.

This stuff intrigues me. |
Never really cared for them. I'm more of a Grateful Dead guy.

The last thing I'd do on a work device is log onto this website.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk at Kohl's. |
I was asked for my location on iPhone the other day. Probably a rogue ad or something.
|
I'm pretty certain CP is not a phishing site, but I wouldn't call it safe.
|
If anything's changed, it's on their end, not ours. It wouldn't surprise me if some firewalls don't like the fact that we're on 15+ year old software with security issues.
|
I would more likely classify this site under catfishing rather than phishing.
|
If I type the web address into my browser it opens but if I try to access a thread via the search my employer blocks the site when clicking on the link
For example I tried searching for the Investing thread earlier this morning through the Search feature. If I click on it through Google I get the employer blocked message but just typing in the CP web address into a browser pulls up the forum no problem |

I've kind of given up on trying to fix that kind of thing. This server's a bit of a mess in terms of setup, so it kind of is what it is until we move to something more modern. |
You access CP at work?

My work computer on Monday said the connection is not private and attackers may be trying to steal your information
NET;;;ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID |
Yeah I got that a bunch yesterday.
|
I wonder if our SSL certificate just renewed or something. It looks like it shows as valid as of yesterday at 8:44pm, so there's a chance that some of you got the security error while it was changing over from the old one.

Same here. Been going to the website at work during breaks for years and now all of a sudden blocked for "phishing."
|
It's Hogs gone fishin's fault
|
I'm not seeing the blocks for a cert or phishing but my work PC seems to be having difficulty rendering the graphics for everything. When the page finally loads for me, it's a total mess and all of the formatting is gone. Something has definitely changed and I've had to do more work this week because of it. I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY!

Can confirm the lounge is not accessible from my work computer. You can still open the forums main page, though.

My employer has blocked access to CP. No need to have a reason. Life hack, don't CP at work... |

The site comes up clean on virus total. I think whatever tool or service your company is using as the proxy is not good or misconfigured and the site is miscategorized in whatever threat intel they're using.

Probably has a lot to do with cross-referencing every photo, URL, tweet, YouTube video, news article, and every ad generating embedded link that comes with it.
Next time you open up the boobie thread see what get's dragged in over the router to your PC with the actual URL via WebShark or your LAN/WAN monitor of choice if you're so inclined. |
It’s blocked where I work, but a Raiders forum isn’t. I’m guessing those decisions were made by a Raiders fan, lol.

Remember when we had an at work button you could press and it would bring up a random spreadsheet to make it look like work

What URL are you guys using that's throwing the cert issue? I'm having trouble replicating this on my end. Screenshots might be helpful.

My work PC started completely blocking CP yesterday as a phishing site. It's not always like that though; sometimes it will come up OK but with graphics blocked and the formatting messed up.
