Best corners in the nfl?

I just read an article saying that Patrick Surtain and Riley Moss from the Broncos are the best quarterback duo in the league? True or false?

I honestly don't know. I know the defense for the Donks has been their strength, so I guess it could be true. Of course, given the level of their competition so far, I'd say it's a little hard to say for sure until they play and beat a team with a really good offense.

Well, it wouldn't be McDuffie and Roland Garros (or whoever the new backup is).

The Cowboys and Jets have good tandems as well.

The best quarterback duo in the league is obviously Patrick Mahomes and Carson Wentz.

Fansy the Famous Bard 10-30-2024 11:59 AM

I don't think either of them are even top 10 Corners, tbh. Both are good, Not top of the league, though. Just off the top of my head Reed and Gardner for NYJ and the Colts duo of Jones and Moore are better... and that's just a couple of teams in the AFC.

PFF ratings

Denver
Riley Moss 70.8
Pat Surtain II 76.9

Chiefs
Trent McDuffie 74.2
Jaylen Watson 70.9

Jets
DJ Reed 80.4
Sauce Gardner 65.4

Indianapolis
Jaylon Jones 73.3
Kenny Moore 78.4

I could see that. Most already know how good Surtain is, but Moss has exceeded expectations in his second year. Broncos D can man up and it’s a big part of why they’re a top 5 unit. Our games against Denver won’t be easy.

Revisit that in 5 weeks now that Watson is done.

Cooper Dejean 83.4...yet only plays 33% of the snaps for the Eagles

Neither of them have thrown an interception, so I agree.

Megatron96 10-30-2024 12:08 PM

They could be. Probably wouldn't argue against them being top-10 as a duo. Hard to evaluate because they haven't played many good QBs/offenses yet.

ToxSocks 10-30-2024 12:13 PM

McDuffie, Surtain and Gardner.

Though Gardner hasn't had a good season.

Surtain is more flashy, but McDuffie's fluidity is just unreal.

McDuffie's ability to flip his hips, stop his feet, change direction....his fluidity is just....it's All Pro. Is what it is. He has All Pro ability and he plays to it.

ToxSocks 10-30-2024 12:14 PM

McDuffie might be one of the most under rated defenders in the NFL. Even with his All Pro on the resume.

Gardner really ruined himself by being a golf addicted junkie. His entire offseason was golfing everyday, buying a simulator, talking about golf almost every waking moment.

Golf can be a crippling addiction.

Agreed. He's a top 3 player on the best team in the NFL.

Direckshun 10-30-2024 12:52 PM

I do think they're the best corner tandem, yes.

With just a liiiiiiiiittle more growth from Jaylen Watson, I think the Chiefs would have been right up there with them this year.

smithandrew051 10-30-2024 12:55 PM

The fact that McDuffie doesn’t get picks but normie fans know how good he is anyway shows how obvious his talent is.

I'd like to see the 2009 Chiefs PFF ratings for CBs.

Hasty and Carter were awesome.

2009 was the Flowers/Carr tandem. Good young CBs that played for some underwhelming teams.

dlphg9 10-30-2024 03:30 PM

Can anyone name a better CB tandem than McDuffie and Sneed last year. That would have had to have been a top 5-10 CB team of all time. They just shut down erbody.

It's some unexplainable universal anomaly that McDuffie still hasn't grabbed his first career interception yet.
