Kareem better not get 20 touches in this game. Coaching malpractice if he does.

carcosa 11-22-2024 01:25 PM

****! ****!!!

PHOG 11-22-2024 01:38 PM

Ok, but also "rest" Hunt, and feature Perine...and possibly MEH.

He almost certainly will and should.

Why should he? If we need hunt to take 20 touches against the Panthers then something has went wrong. He should be used lightly. Yes we don't care about him after this season, but he's already shown signs of slowing down and he gets beat up like crazy. Let him take a break from that for 1 week.

FloridaMan88 11-22-2024 01:55 PM

MEHHH should be active ahead of Steele to pass block.

If it's your belief that we're going to blow out the Panthers so bad that we can just play our scrubs in the 4th quarter then I don't know what Chiefs team you've been watching all year.

Dunerdr 11-22-2024 01:56 PM

We should use this as a get right game for the passing attack. Throw that mf.

TheGuardian 11-22-2024 02:09 PM

WTF. This doesn't even make sense

KC_Connection 11-22-2024 02:18 PM

Good, rest him until he's 100%. This game means almost nothing in the grand scheme of this season.

Easy 6 11-22-2024 02:19 PM

Its possible his conditioning isn't quite up to par yet, we'll be ok without him for this one

I know the Panthers team I've watched all year. Which goes back to my point of there being something wrong if we need to give Hunt that kind of workload. We're talking about a team that got blown out by 26 by the bears.

He practiced and then the staff decided he wasn’t quite ready yet. What about that is not making sense to you?

Sure it does. After the game it is a short week with the Raiders on Friday. Andy always errors on holding guys out when possible. Doubt they would want him to play any significant downs and then have to be ready in 5 days. If they only carry 3 back, all of them are going to get a good amount of touches if the game is not close.

The Panthers have been a bad team no doubt. Chiefs are favored by 11 right now. Fine if we want to believe they will cover that. But if they are up by less than 3 scores we'll be feeding the Panthers a steady diet of Kareem Hunt in the 4th quarter. Which is also not a problem. Pacheco will be back soon and Hunt's workload will come back down to earth.

Megatron96 11-22-2024 03:04 PM

Just read that Omenihu will also sit out this game.

This! I agree with this!

Cheater5 11-22-2024 03:33 PM

It’s going to be a 17 - 13 Chiefs win, regardless of who’s playing.

We haven't won with a safety yet. We can pin them deep with Punt God and get two points for the win.

DJ's left nut 11-22-2024 04:16 PM

Not even a little bit surprising.

Guys with longer term injuries under Andy will get a limited week of practice, then a full week of practice and THEN they get activated the following week. He ALWAYS does this unless you're a genuine superstar and/or we don't have an alternative.

Pacheco's not a superstar and we do have an alternative.

I'd have probably played him for 5-10 snaps just to get him use to contact and game speed again, but it shouldn't surprise anyone at all that Andy isn't. This is absolutely his M.O.

He's not ready to tote the ball 5-8 times in a game?

Yes that seems odd. IT was a broken bone. It's healed. He should be good to go

What is the deal with him, anyway? Is he hurt? Butthurt? Nuts? Haglunds? ****er hasn't taken a snap all season.

I figure the answer is buried somewhere, but I don't feel like looking for it. But at this point, we either need to get him on the field at least until Pacheco is 100% or kill him and sell his organs.

Kman34 11-22-2024 05:15 PM

I think this is all about a short week with more rest after the Raider game…

I think it’s PTSD. And no, I’m not joking.

He only got 13 against our main competition for the 1 seed, I'll laugh my ass off if Andy commits to him against this dumpster fire.

Healthy scratch and start Carson Steele.

Seriously? From what? Did the confetti from the Super Bowl scare him? Jesus. :shake:

Dude's getting paid millions to play a ****ing game. Or, apparently, cry in the locker room instead. Suck it up, buttercup.

He shot a guy trying to rob him which should get him a statue next to George Brett

HemiEd 11-22-2024 06:39 PM

Not a bit surprised. Andy has a pattern of success and this is in line with what he does. Next week look out! Raiders are going to get raped on black Friday!

CEH shot and killed a guy back in LSU that was attempting to rob him. This bout of PTSD coincided with the Super Bowl parade shooting.

Too bad Patton's not around to slap him upside the head.

Yeah I don't disagree whenever he comes back you give him 5-10 carries but we're definitely in the playoffs no need to rush any of these injured guys coming back we have several games left we good

This only tells part of the story. Ike ended up writing to him about this and he apologized for doing it

I got you fam. I was thinking this game more like a warm up before heading into the last quarter of the season.

fadeaway 11-23-2024 05:10 AM

The thought of unleashing a fully fit, well rested Pacheco on the raiders is… something. The thought of a brick wall at LT is the icing

scho63 11-23-2024 07:39 AM

Carolina Panthers are an NFL team last time I checked that have won games. They are not good but an NFL team non-the-less.

This isn't a Pee Wee team of 10 year olds we are playing.

I agree that this is probably the real reason Pacheco isn't active for tomorrow's game.

But it does make me wonder why they took him off the IR to begin with unless there was a valid league reason they had to.

They haven’t. He has just been practicing.
