I just think turkey is overrated. Sue me.

Turkey stuffing pie! If desert doesn't count then sweet potatoes.

TripleThreat 11-24-2024 06:29 PM

Going to booze my wife with small amounts of alcohol in a dirty Shirley. Not so much like a roofie, but the same secrecy. Then:

1. My wife giving me a blow job to get things going

2. Wife straddles me with tits in my face.

3. My penis goes inside of my wife and I last longer than 4 strokes.

Turkey
Stuffing
Mashed Potatoes.

Turkey and stuffing are my top 2

Biggest question after that is the choice between cranberries or GBC

ChiliConCarnage 11-24-2024 06:33 PM

Stuffing
Taters
Pumpkin pie

ptlyon 11-24-2024 06:34 PM

And, if we're being truthful here, things like stuffing, Taters, GBC, are all sides, not mains

Chief Roundup 11-24-2024 06:36 PM

Ham, Brisket, Steak

srvy 11-24-2024 06:36 PM

Honestly turkey basically comes around one time a year it ain't that bad. What I hate is that f-ing green bean casserole. Just give GBs cooked in beef broth some bacon and onion and I am good.

Real homemade dinner rolls also is good. None of that heat and serve crap.

smithandrew051 11-24-2024 06:38 PM

Stuffing, Sweet Potatoes, Pecan Pie

wazu 11-24-2024 06:40 PM

Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Cream Peas (as gravy).

Turkey breast, stuffing, & mashed potatoes. Gravy doesn't count as an item because it's assumed to be included.

This is the correct answer. As long as the gravy is made directly from the cooked turkey and not some jar shit.

And while we're on the subject, stuffing is cooked in the bird. Not made in a casserole dish. That's called dressing.

...on second thought, don't calm down, JR is just warming up and SNF is going to be boring as ****.

DJJasonp 11-24-2024 07:44 PM

Turkey, mash potatoes and gravy and my grandmother’s homemade rolls.

DJ's left nut 11-24-2024 07:45 PM

Deep fried turkey
Stuffing (Pepperidge Farm is my preference)
Bacon green beans

Pointer19 11-24-2024 07:47 PM

Tough that turkey doesn’t make the cut, but I’ve had several fried, smoked, ovened, and slow cooked; never can get a consistent delicious bird. You know what three dishes never disappoint?

Green bean casserole
Sweet potato casserole
Stuffing

Bearcat 11-24-2024 07:47 PM

Ham with pineapple glaze
Can of cranberry
Pumpkin pie with Cool Whip

That's Christmas this year I'm doing Prime rib 2 days in a row for both sides of the family. I may have work a street corner to afford the grocery bill.

Boise_Chief 11-24-2024 08:00 PM

Oh and the correct answer is Turkey stuffing and mashed potatoes

Boise_Chief 11-24-2024 08:02 PM

But assuming we are talking sides, cranberries in amaretto, frog eye salad and pumpkin pie are the sides next up

Water mains - indispensable in modern society.

A complete nonsense post in this thread, I just wanted a simple and fun exercise here but was forced into a senseless and divisive battle

Do you have a top three for Thanksgiving?

But, ANYWAY, can we all agree that the best part of Thanksgiving dinner is the cold turkey sandwich the day after?

I already answered about my top three mains in general. If we're talking about food, I'll comment that my diet is now restricted due to some health stuff, so I'll go with...

Crab legs (our planned main dish for this Thanksgiving)
Mashed sweet potatoes
Barbecue beans

Hmm. After a bit of thought, I'd go with the following three choices. Recognizing that weapon and venue are inextricably linked, I'll present my top three combinations.

1. Pistols with eight-shot clips inside my house with the power out on a moonless night. I know every nook and cranny of my house and routinely navigate it in the dark when I'm too lazy to turn on a light. An accurate weapon where I can fire off several shots quickly will give me a huge advantage if I have the jump on people. The cleanup afterwards would be annoying, but I'd deal with it if the stakes are high.

2. I'm built more for speed than power, so I would work better in space. However, my eyesight has declined over the years, so I'm not going to challenge anyone with sniper rifles at a distance. However, I had a lot of dynamics and physics courses back in the day, and that skill remains intact. So I would go with trebuchets at a distance of 500 yards on uneven terrain. I think I could adjust my fire faster than the average trebuchet user.

3. I got hearing aids recently, and I can turn them up to get super hearing. So I would go with shotguns in a maze that has very slightly squeaky floors. I walk somewhat lightly, so I could likely hear someone moving before they could hear me, and a shotgun is hard to miss with.

What do you think? Are my assumptions good, or am I missing something?

I'm on a mostly seafood diet these days, so crab is something that's kind of a special dish. We don't make crab legs very often, so it's a good holiday splurge.

I don't dislike cherry pie, but it's not at the top of my list. I'm more of a citrus pie guy.

1. Lemon meringue
2. Key lime (1A and 1B with lemon meringue)
3. Banana cream
4. Rhubarb
5. Apple

Chocolate cream and coconut are also really close.
