This Week’s Sports Media Top Narratives
The writing is on the wall:
* Mahomes & the Chiefs are deader than John Dutton. * Bill’s are Super Bowl favorites. * Josh Allen probably won’t be available to accept his MVP award because he’ll be too busy preparing for the Super Bowl. * Josh Allen is Superman. Best quarterback to ever play. * No one can stop the Bill’s offense. Maybe I’ll watch a couple more reruns of “A Christmas Story” this week. |
This will make their (the ills) downfall sweeter...

I consume very little dogshit national media.
The only thing I've listened to was Simmons' podcast to which he pointed out that the Bills Defense isn't good enough. Also, only 6 times since the late 70s has there been an MVP win the Super Bowl. (Mahomes being the last one). All that being said, Allen is having a great ****ing year. They lost all their non-Shakir receivers and a bunch of their defensive talent and he's better. (Diggs addition by subtraction...especially with the Texans going backward...?) Dude is having himself a year. |
Pairs well with narratives that need to die...

I think Philly would steamroll them

The Lions defense is a terrible scheme matchup against a Sean Payton offense, what the Bills run.
Buffalo offense did not look like that against Baltimore or Houston. Good for Buffalo they finally got their QB the MVP but they aren’t coming out of the AFC, too many bad matchups for them, including us. |
To be fair the Bills have scored 30+ points in 11 games this season. Josh Allen is playing like playoff Mahomes every game lately, and hasn't been sacked in the past four games.
I hate to type this. |

If you were a professional gambler who would you put your money on this year?

Or the super sexy team that's never won a Super Bowl. Tough choice. |
I don’t understand why Chief fans are constantly needing validation from the media.
We all know who’s the best, they have to create debatable topics for views. Every episode can’t be a Mahomes worship session. Just ignore the shit lol. |

He's putting a LOT of miles on the odometer and the Bills seems more than happy to let him do so. As well they should - the AFC looks more open than it has been in the past and Cooper is a nice little addition for them. With Baltimore struggling for consistency and Cincy fallen off, the AFC really looks like a 2-horse race so if you're Buffalo, your odds are better even if you don't see this year's KC team as more vulnerable than it's been in the past (and I don't know why you WOULDN'T). Yeah, he's going to go at 110% for the rest of the year and Allen at 110% is a goddamn monster. My biggest worry if I'm them, apart from the defense, is him gripping just a little too tight in the post-season. If he gets used to hero ball and then gets a little tense in the spotlight, it could go real sideways, real fast for them. |

2019: Ravens or 49ers 2020: Bills or Chiefs 2021: Bucs or maybe Packers 2022: Eagles 2023: Ravens ...that would be zero for five. Vegas odds in mid-December: 2019: Ravens (week 14, +300... Chiefs were 5th at +800) 2020: Chiefs (week 14, +200... Bucs were 7th at +1400) 2021: Bucs (week 14, +500)... Rams were 7th at +1000) 2022: Bills (week 14, +375... Chiefs were 2nd at +500) 2023: 49ers (week 14, +300.. Chiefs were 3rd at +500) ...also zero for 5. Recent history... 2019: Patriots 2020: Chiefs or 49ers 2021: Bucs or Chiefs 2022: Bengals 2023: Chiefs or 49ers ...hey, we got one. |

2022: Bills (week 14, +375... Chiefs were 2nd at +500) That Bills team lost to Joe Burrow and the Bengals 27-10 in their own stadium. A Bengals offense that was missing 3 starters on the offensive line. |
