See ya bye click

Guessing retirement, there are others to be cut if we needed the space.
Still weird timing. |

Injury settlement? Not familiar enough with the logistics to know for sure…
|
Nothing there indicating for certain he's done, but he's probably done. Hopefully he's on the road to recovery. Hard to hate on the dude after hearing what he's going/gone through.
|
Very likable, too bad the play wasn't
|
Still better than that dumb**** Jonathan Taylor!!!

It's hard not to feel for the guy after everything he's been through. And while he was disappointing as a player, it was always gonna be hard for him to live up to the hype. Not a fan of taking RBs in the 1st round , especially guys that don't really exceed in any facet of their game. |

I thought it was weird someone with gunshot PTSD would go duck hunting.....

CEH ya MEH!

It's a shame he never lived up to the hype. I thought he was going to be a monster in the passing game.
|
Hollywood Brown is due to get put back on the roster so i guess he takes that spot?
Anyway sending best wishes to Clyde in his journey moving forward. He's had many ups and downs with us but there is no doubt those folks in the organisation really love the guy and you could see it on the sidelines. So all the best to him. |
Said last year that ceh looked like a different back. He stopped trying to wait for holes and recognized he could get strong in the legs and just move the pile. I think he went out on a real good note. We just have RBs right now that are really good where we don’t need him anymore. Wish the dude the best. Worked hard, great teammate, and much as we can bag on his play he was still part of our Super Bowl story. And knowing his recent mental health issues I hope he can use this time to get right
|
Wish him the best… but the Chiefs wasted a roster spot with him going back to the offseason when they just defaulted him into RB2 without looking to upgrade.
|
And Odell cleared waivers today too, hmmmmm.

The 2024 version of that quote is "Going to the Super Bowl without Clyde Edwards-Helaire is like going duck hunting without an accordion". |
He was cut.

pray that he healed from his mental trauma.
|
I remember watching him at LSU and seeing how elusive he was. He was a legit playmaker. I was pumped when we drafted him. Unfortunately it never really translated to the NFL game.

You had some good moments here, including 2 SB rings. (Maybe 3. Not sure how that’ll work when the Chiefs win this next SB.) Thank you & best of luck in life, sir.
|
Did he get his fully vested guaranteed thing from NFL now

It’s that time of year. When the Chiefs get serious and basically get rid of all the dead weight. Frustrating as hell. Did should have never been given a second contract.

I still like the guy. I hope he has a long and successful career doing anything else.

Hip injuries are bad news. If I remember correctly, Bo Jackson's downfall was a hip.
|
He loved being a Chief and was a great teammate. Won Bowls here and was helpful at times to the overall product. He will have a career in coaching or with the player’s union or something. Wish him well and since I’m not a weird unhappy prick, I have no animosity towards him.
|
I remember all of the gushing predictions when he was drafted. It's unfortunate that he didn't live up to those. He was serviceable for a few years, but it seemed to me that he lacked the top speed to ever be an elite back. Good luck to him going forward unless he plays for a strong AFC team. He seems like a genuinely good guy.
I think we're going to see a renaissance of running backs. Barkley and to a lesser extent Henry are showing that elite running backs have value. In the future, I think we could see the running back position fork in the draft like the quarterback position. Elite guys will go high, and non-elite guys will go in the mid-rounds. |

Better make sure dilphag doesn't have your login credentials, this is next level stupid. |
I've never been on the Chiefs Reddit page until today. The most upvoted comment on this story is someone referring to him as "KC Legend CEH". I don't think I'm ever going to go on that Reddit page again.

Barkley and He Ty are the exceptions to the rule IMO. I still think teams will draft and discard running backs. Look at all the talent I. This years draft. You could get a damn good back in the 3rd round. Run the wheels off and repeat. |
By all accounts CEH is a very fine human. He's been in nursing school and is inspired to help save lives.
Given how karma works, it won't surprise me at all if one day a CP member wakes up in an emergency room and sees CEH smiling down on him/her. All the best to you Clyde! |

Always hoped Clyde would somehow work out. Cheered for him when he played well. Sorry his career was cut short by PTSD. wish him only good things going forward.
|
He was never the same after the injury in New Orleans. That really seemed to change him. Best of luck in the future, unless you rejoin your LSU teammates with the Bengals.

Is he better than Barry word
|
I remember a game where it seemed like not a single player could catch pass. Mahomes looked ready to kill someone after watching multiple drops. I can't remember if it was in the huddle or on the sideline, but CEH told Pat if he threw it to him he'd catch it. The next play was a reception for a big play.
That's probably the play I'll remember him for. The rest was just MEH |
I saw where they likely did this to make room for Hollywood.
|
It’s a shame his career changed in that Saints game.
He looked like he could be really good prior to his injury. I wish the guy all the luck in being able to find peace in his mind. He absolutely deserves that. |

Nothing crazy, but he broke off a bunch of 15 to 25 yarders in the highlights. If he didn't have to pick the hole, he was really good at getting through small gaps. But, his vision sucked and he was slow so even if he had a big hole, he was never going to run away from anyone. If he just hadn't been a first round pick, his career may have been much better. |
I wish the guy well he seems like a nice guy
Maybe he can eventually bounce back with another team |
At least he never dropped the ball just before crossing the goal line like the world's dumbest running back Johnathan Taylor.
Best of luck to you CEH. Thanks for your contribution to winning us Bowl games. |
