Patrick Mahomes got his Chiefs teammates coolers full of luxury gifts

Patrick Mahomes has spoiled his offensive line for the holiday season.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback recently presented his teammates with red Yeti coolers stuffed with luxury gifts to celebrate their almost perfect record of 13 wins and one loss this season.

Staying on theme with the Chiefs’ team colors of red, white, and gold, the red coolers are designed to fit 82 cans or 64 pounds of ice and have a retail value of $425.

Inside the coolers, members of the offensive line also received $999 Normatec Elite air compression leg attachments by Hyperice to help with muscle recovery.

The Chiefs teammates also received Rolex watches, Lucchese leather boots, Oakley sunglasses, WHOOP bands, and products from Adidas’ Black Y-3 line. Two players from the team were given Louis Vitton luggage.

I never know what the right thing to do is in these situations. Do the gifts only go to guys on the active roster on December 15th or some such date? What if a guy was on the active roster and then goes on injured reserve in Week 8? Does he get the gifts? If you activate the guy from the practice squad for one game in October, does he get the gifts? What if he gets activated only for the Christmas Day game?

I know Wanya Morris was playing hurt, but I still thought about The Other Guys when Will Ferrell fell for the "Desk Pop" and Michael Keaton took away his service weapon and gave him a wooden gun and a whistle.

It’s pretty cool. But let’s be real, every Qb does this. The more interesting story is what Mahomes’ tastes are when he buys these gifts.

Lots of Patrick’s gifts are definitely given by the brand as marketing. He’s a spokesperson for several of the products. And obviously in the ‘news’ articles about this ‘spontaneous’ event there is some marketing garbage like how the coolers can hold precisely 82 cans.

These trucks Purdy ‘gifted’ were probably a short term lease that the dealership exchanged as part of a spokesperson package.
