Looks like some of you will be needing a new site to stream games
A segment of the online sports fan community mourned Monday as two popular websites known for pirating illegal streams of live sporting events displayed a message—ostensibly from their anonymous owner—that they would be “taking a break from live streaming.”
Visitors to sites called Methstreams and Crackstreams were instead encouraged to join an existing Discord community for further updates. In a sign of the sites’ following, more than 80,000 accounts were part of the Discord group—which has been around at least since 2022—as of Monday afternoon. |
Yep, went there today to get the KU game and that's what was found.

How does Jesus feel about illegal streams???

Make a 0.10 bet on draft kings and live steam there. Seems like it’s most games.

if they make it impossible to find a decent stream I guess my time watching games will be over because I'm not paying whatever ridiculous price they are demanding for Sunday ticket. I'd pay something like $60 a year for a Chiefs only stream, but the NFL wouldn't give consumers what they actually want.

Stream east stopped working for me a few weeks ago, so I started using this site a few weeks ago. https://thetvapp.to/

After reading this thread, out of curiosity I tried to find a stream for the Penn Boise game. I searched "NFL streams free" went on the first website, scrolled down and clicked the stream for the game, which worked. Took me less than 30 seconds. Illegal streaming websites/platforms disappearing isn't a big deal. Just find another one.

FYI, I've never actually used an illegal stream for a game. I get most of them locally. I sign up for one month of Sling when the Chiefs play on Monday night. I have Peacock Amazon and Netflix already. Just sharing this for those of you who are having to go that route.
|
I joined Peacock for the 1 game they had (dropped after watching other interesting programs), I have Amazon, and I have Netflix now (thanks NFL 4321) and will probably drop them after watching everything we want to watch. But I don't use streams for the Chiefs, I use them for when the networks are showing some stupid game (hello Tampa Bay, and Sunday they're showing Carolina vs Atlanta wtf?) instead of a more pertinent game related to the Chiefs. And the occasional KU basketball game on ESPN+ that we don't carry. We also have YouTubeTV that we will probably get rid of now since their premium is going up (again) later this month.

The sites will come back in a day or two with different names. They all do.
Same way with sites that stream movies or TV shows. You can watch any sports game, recent movie, or current TV show, in good quality, without needing to pay for it. That's not going to change. |
IPTV is the best way to pirate now.
10 bucks a month and more channels than you could ever need. https://privateiptvaccess.com/ |
Eventually everyone will use the pirated sites.
20 years ago some people still naively wanted to pay for porn because internet porn was frowned upon as a detriment to the industry. |

So, let's pretend most NFL games are like the Lions/49ers game, but once every couple months there's a game like the Lions/Vikings. Now, would you "play your starters" and pay for all those Lions/49ers games, just so you can watch the Lions/Vikings? ...shit, I can see how this analogy is doomed to confuse and anger you. Ok, so let's pretend the choice to kick a FG or go for it on 4th and short in the first quarter is 95% of NFL games, but a chance to kick a FG in the 4th quarter that could put you up 2 scores is the game you really want to watch, so you really need to "kick that FG"... ...****. |

Granted, I haven't dropped everything and went YTTV after dumping the assholes at Dish, but even that's now creeping up close to same cost. |

I just will not pay for NFL content. |

You really like cinnamon rolls. But ONLY the middle part. So you don't want to pay for the Cinnamon rolls down at the bakery. Because you only like the middle part. After all, why should you have to pay for full price for a cinnamon roll when there's only this specific part YOU want? So you go there and when they aren't looking, you take all of the centers of the cinnamon rolls and eat them. Because again, it's not stealing since you're just taking part of it, and not all of it. Because you don't want the rest. |

The thing in, so much of it for me is ShutUpAndTakeMyMoney.gif, but between the terrible blackout policies and Sunday Ticket being $300, and then watching 50% commercials once you do pay for YTTV, Prime, Peacock, etc. ****, just make it PPV and stop screwing all non-sports fans. |

Pretty sure nobody has claimed it's not stealing? But then you'd have to pretend... - The bakery makes billions dollars per year - You have to watch commercials while you're eating the cinnamon roll. You can pick it up to go, but if you dine-in, you have to pay $50 for parking (which goes up annually) and hundreds of dollars to sit in the bakery. Beer is also $20 and it's the really cheap shit. You can however hang out in the parking lot for as long as you want and eat your own food beforehand. - The bakery could just offer everything on the menu at a fair price, but you actually have to go to one specific store in town to order off the full menu at premium prices... and you literally have to order everything on the menu at that store. -- And then at a second store, they'll have one or two items per week that you can order, but you have to pay an annual membership that's not related to the full menu store. -- And then at a 3rd store, they have another menu item once per week, which is usually terrible, but sometimes you'll want to check out; but you'll need another annual membership. -- And then there's a pop-up food truck that comes by every once in a while that generally has great menu items that you'll definitely want to buy. You have to buy a cheaper monthly membership to the food truck, even though they'll only show up once in a month. ...and at the end of the day, you're really just looking for the middle of one specific cinnamon roll, which sporadically rotates around 3 different memberships; and then rarely another menu item or two that could be on any given membership. ...however, given all the hassle, sometimes these menu items become available through other means, free in a dark alley. You still pay for the middle of the one specific cinnamon roll with multiple annual memberships so you don't miss anything, but sometimes another one comes along that's just not worth everything combined. I know, tl;dr.... nuance is a bitch. |

No costs are getting passed on. Their product distribution costs are fixed and my consumption doesn't cause them any extra work or product consumption. Also, I wouldn't have bought Sunday Ticket anyway so it's not like they lost me as a customer. If it wasn't there as a free stream then I just wouldn't have watched. They could easily make money off me if they offered a way to buy single games. I would gladly pay a reasonable price to watch a reliable stream of my favorite team's game - but they won't offer that for whatever reason. |

I've tried buying various packages when I've traveled, and every time I do, I get shut out because the package "only works in the USA" or "only works for games shown in your local market". I suspect that the NFL has some huge Gordian Knot of conflicting and overlapping contract agreements dating back to the Great Depression that is impossible to navigate and provide the customer with a straightforward and convenient product. They really need to fix that. And by the way, why would I ever buy a package that "only works for games shown in your local market"? If it's shown in my local market, I'll just watch it on TV. |
