They really think Denver will beat us by 11?

KC Hawks 01-05-2025 12:13 AM

Carson Wentz is better than Bo Nix IMHO

Either way, 1 seed. Focused on the 3-peat.

I don't care.

I'm rooting for no injuries and nobody trying a terrorist attack.

Who wins the game is irrelevant.

But then KC gets stuck with the Bengals in the 2nd round, while #3 seed Baltimore somehow gets an easier path to a spot in the conference title game.

Direckshun 01-05-2025 02:40 AM

Not a huge fan of our odds here.

The Broncos neeeeeeed this game. They have a fantastic DL. We’re probably playing Kingsley today.

Wentz is going to have no time to throw and his top two options will be locked down all afternoon by one of the best corner tandems in the league. We may not even score until garbage time.

BlackOp 01-05-2025 02:44 AM

It's a win/win...two of KC's three most hated NFL teams...one or both will lose out and be devastated.

We get to point and laugh...

In all fairness...the Bengals deserve to get in. They've won 5 in a row. Donks are shitting the bed now they finally have to play decent teams...poser franchise.

They have already lost to every AFC play-off team on their schedule...Steelers, Ravens, Chiefs, Chargers x2 and the Bengals (if they make it).

They are praying they can somehow get past KC's JV squad...just for the opportunity to be humiliated by the Bills.

threebag 01-05-2025 03:05 AM

FlaChief58 01-05-2025 03:16 AM

I just can't cheer for us to lose and let the donks in the playoffs. Those assholes haven't suffered enough, imo. Otoh, **** Kevin. Either way, neither of those bottom feeder franchises are going to prevent the threepeat.

Bengals barely beat a shitty Steelers team. Their best win is the Broncos. They aren't winning in Buffalo, even if they made it.

I saw that.

He talks about how this is how load management days started in the NBA.

He’s an idiot, because he’s forgetting how rarely this actually happens and how valuable the 1 seed is.

As long as teams can get the 1, they’ll try for it. It’s not like before, when there were byes for the top two seeds.

smithandrew051 01-05-2025 08:50 AM

He’s also forgetting how much more important each NFL game is.

1 NFL game is worth like 5 NBA games to seeding.

This reminds me of the stupid takes about the late hit on Patrick against Cinn… Pat was two feet out of bounds when he got hit.. “It’s not fair to call that with seconds left in the game.” ****ing morons..

If we manage to win this would be absolutely humiliating for Denver. For those who remember when the Gunther Cunningham Chiefs got knocked out in Week 17 by the Raiders with our barefoot kicker, that’s what we have a chance to do to Denver today.

Those ****s have been a joke for a decade. It's not enough. They deserve entire generations of fans having no hope whatsoever.

The reality is that we used to be the teams putting all our hopes on the outcome of week 18 to sneak in the playoffs and hopefully (LOL) catch lightning in a bottle only to have our hopes and dreams of winning anything that matters thoroughly demolished. Either this week or next.

Now I'm here for the jokes because week 18 is boring as **** when you're the best team in the league.

I assume that after this clip ended Nick eviscerated this bullshit take.

You don't want your season to hang on a game you have no control over and a team that has nothing to play for? YOU SHOULD HAVE WON MORE GAMES.

Kind of like you don't think overtime rules are fair? YOU SHOULD HAVE SCORED ONE MORE POINT AND WON IN REGULATION.

It's not rocket science.

If we manage to win this would be absolutely humiliating for Denver. For those who remember when the Gunther Cunningham Chiefs got knocked out in Week 17 by the Raiders with our barefoot kicker, that’s what we have a chance to do to Denver today.

The Raiders didn't sit their starters though. I wish they had. That was Derrick Thomas' last game. He might still be alive if we won that game.

What a wonderful week to be a Chiefs fan.

Beat the Broncos and knock them out of the post-season or lose to them and knock the Bengals out.

Still hoping for the Chiefs and Dolphins wins but really can’t lose.

I do hope the Raiders knock the Chargers back to the 6 seed.

Was it fair that the Bengals got to face Tyler Huntley and barely beat him in a playoff game because Lamar Jackson was protecting his health due to impending contract negotiations? Was that "fair" to other teams who had to face real QBs?

Interesting. Which WRs, TEs, and RBs are active for this game?

Yes. The perfect scenario (along with the Raiders beating the Chargers) as someone else put it.

Yeah, that's about where I'm at with this one. I'm focused on the big picture, which is another Super Bowl trophy. This game is as close as the Donks are going to get to the Super Bowl.

I get the sense Andy really likes Carson. Every member of the organization that’s spoken to the media about Carson has said he should be starting somewhere. They all love the guy.

I could easily see Andy craft a game plan that gives Carson a legitimate shot at getting a good deal to start somewhere. Andy has the reputation of supporting quarterback careers and this could be another example. I don’t see them treating this game as a throwaway for many reasons, but Andy’s passion of giving guys a chance is a major one. Jesse Palmers quote is further evidence of this. If I could bet on this game, I certainly would take the Chiefs to cover.
