What's interesting about this is whether or not his snaps go up significantly now that this is set in stone.

htismaqe 01-07-2025 06:59 PM

I bet they will.

Megatron96 01-07-2025 07:07 PM

Great. Now Andy can take the damned handcuffs off and use Nuk any way he wants. Finally.

RaidersOftheCellar 01-07-2025 07:10 PM

These sandbagging MFers.

Playoff snap count: 80% LMAO

smithandrew051 01-07-2025 07:11 PM

Ripped off the Titans twice.

Sneed and a 5th for Hopkins and a really early 3rd.

Was thinking the same thing. Other GMs are going to stop taking Bart's calls soon.

I think his snaps will go up considerably, but not because of the draft pick. I think they've been keeping him fresh for the playoffs.

dlphg9 01-07-2025 07:41 PM

They fleeced the Titans, but really kind of ****ed over Hopkins on his incentives.

According to Spotrac- "WR DeAndre Hopkins needs 9 catches for a $250,000 bonus. He also needs 140 receiving yards for another $250,000 bonus. With 5 touchdowns, he's already secured a $250,000 incentive, but can add another $250,000 if he finds the end zone one more time."

That was before week 18. He was so close to getting those incentives, but didn't get near the amount of playing time he should have. Hopefully this didn't piss him off or anything.

BossChief 01-07-2025 07:43 PM

I’d love to be in the decision rooms when these deals are proposed to hear the 3D chess our guys are using on these structures.

So we’re giving up Sneed (that went on IR halfway into the season) and a late 5th

For

Deandre Hopkins AND basically a late 2nd.

That’s exactly what got bozo fired.

It’s both.

They thought they could get the 1 seed with him in a limited role…and they were right.

Total complete power move by Veach having confidence in the rest of his team.

It’s quite clear why the rest of the league and their fans hate us. This organization is just savage in every conceivable way. They will find any advantage they can and milk it dry.

No matter how much you think you appreciate what we’ve seen the past 7 years, you really don’t appreciate it enough. It won’t be possible to fully do so until it’s over, that’s what sucks about these things. It’s been such a blur, too. It all just blends together.

It’s been so exhausting as a fan, I can’t imagine the toll it’s taken on the men behind it all. These guys dedicate themselves to a level no other team does, and that’s what makes all the disrespect that much more irritating. What the Chiefs have done is nothing short of incredible. We are on the verge of being possibly a top 5 sports dynasty of all time in my book. That’s just amazing to think about.

I want them to win this one completely for themselves. I don’t need anymore as a fan, I’ve seen all I could ever need. They deserve to win it to shut these pathetic haters up for good.

I don't think he gives a shit about that, tbh. I have to believe he wants a ring because he knows his career is on the stage of decline.

This is most likely his best opportunity to get a ring. If he can win a ring, that bolster his HOF chances.

Reid has been around a long time. Hopkins has been around too.

I sincerely doubt Reid did something like this without making sure Hopkins was on board.

Maybe there’s even a handshake deal to bring Hop back if they win it all this year or something.

He was only averaging 2.5 catches and 29 yards per game in Tennessee. The only reason he got close to the numbers is because of what he did in KC. And he wasn't likely to get to any of them playing in week 18. So I think everyone's cool.

ToxSocks 01-07-2025 08:58 PM

The way they rode that 49% week after week was master craft.

You don't think he gives a shit about money?

Actually he was over 50% going into the last week. I wonder if he had to be active for it to bring it down below 50% or if it would have if he was declared inactive.

NJChiefsFan 01-07-2025 09:45 PM

Hopkins has flown under the radar recently with the 1 seed, LT stuff, and Hollywood coming back. I love thinking about how this all-time great wr is getting the chance he has been waiting for.

He has already made enough money that we all wish we have. Like I said, I doubt he's concerned about that right now.

BWillie 01-07-2025 10:37 PM

50% of snaps hahhahahahahah

We weren't even trying in the regular season.

Everyone playin checkers. We're playin chess.

I just looked it up. He's made about $140M for his career. Yeah. I think that he can quit worrying about money and just chase a ring now.

TripleThreat 01-08-2025 12:44 AM

So this is why the titans GM got fired. Makes sense now.

Yes, im sure at the end of his career, and chasing money to go to Tennessee instead of KC and not winning dick, hes just furious over 500k in lost incentive, and being poised as the 1 seed to be a part of football history with a 3 peat.

500k. Lmao.
