Butker is going to be a man on a mission.

Mr_Tomahawk 02-04-2025 10:29 AM

Cool.

Has he figured out where the team is located, yet?

Rainbarrel 02-04-2025 10:29 AM

They shoot him instead of Mahomes

This superbowl is going to phenomenal. It's going to be yuge! Believe me, I will make the NFL so unbelievably great again. /DT 45/47

Not pointing this out to you specifically, but everyone else for the millionth time.... don't find new and creative ways to express your totally unique and ****ing tired opinions on politics and you won't get booted from the thread.

Dartgod 02-04-2025 10:36 AM

Well, at least half the country won't be mad anymore when they show Taylor Swift on the broadcast.

KCUnited 02-04-2025 10:37 AM

Upgrade over Caliendo?

TribalElder 02-04-2025 10:38 AM

Remember, Trump got the Mahomes bump from Brittany when everyone was too scared to show support

It will be huge. Tremendous ratings with many billions and billions of Americans watching. Perhaps the biggest security of all time?

TLO 02-04-2025 10:42 AM

A lot of people saying he'll be there in a Chiefs jersey.

Wisconsin_Chief 02-04-2025 10:45 AM

Well, between this and the "rigged" crowd, going to be a lot of screaming at clouds for this one.

As for me, I'm just going to watch the Kansas Chiefs win another one and enjoy it very much, bigly even!

Mecca 02-04-2025 10:47 AM

I didn't know orange was in the superbowl color scheme.

chiefzilla1501 02-04-2025 10:48 AM

I’ll say the same thing I said with Taylor swift. Who the **** cares, as if celebrities and presidents haven’t attended games before. They’re not interrupting plays to show these people. Just watch football and don’t be outraged by this kind of shit

Gary Cooper 02-04-2025 10:51 AM

So another 30 minute power outage and then Bane appears.

smithandrew051 02-04-2025 10:51 AM

Is he really the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl?

That’s kinda surprising.

Monticore 02-04-2025 10:52 AM

Many heads will explode when Swift and trump hug on the field after we win.

Apparently, a sitting President has not attended the Super Bowl. Or so I read in the post you don’t care about.

A lot of people are saying that Swift and Trump will shake hug, and then Harrison Butker will come over and shake Trumps hand as he pulls out a briefcase and hands it over to the officials.

Won't that stop play when he parachutes in?

TLO 02-04-2025 10:58 AM

Rumor has it Trump will present the Super Bowl trophy to the Chiefs and make a speech regarding so much winning... that they've got to be tired of winning. He will then sign an executive order on stage naming the Kansas City Chiefs the best NFL Franchise of all time.

Fitting. The guy helped kill the USFL, which removed the NFL’s competition once and for all and allowed the SB to be the glamorous spectacle it is today

BigRedChief 02-04-2025 11:58 AM

It’s the most viewed event in the most popular sport. I can see why a politician would want to be there.

I don’t want politics in football. It’s the last bastion of our society and culture where politics are put aside to cheer on your team or boo the opposing team's. Please keep politics as far away as possible from football.

The NFL already opened that door. Sorry.

Those were dust up’s compared to what could occur. And they went away pretty quick. I don’t think any football fan is thinking, you know what this game needs, politics.

I’m not saying a president shouldn’t attend the SB. It’s a major if not the the most culturally significant event in our culture.

Just don’t say anything about politics while attending the game.

Agree with the concept, but I don't view just attending the game as being "politics in football." There will be hundreds of celebrities at the game, and he'll just be one of them.

It's not that different than people crying about Taylor Swift being at games as if that's shoving her music down their throats.

Mephistopheles Janx 02-04-2025 12:08 PM

Good for him. Hope he has fun.

/famous wealthy man goes to game that, mostly, only wealthy people can afford to go to... hurray?

Katipan 02-04-2025 12:14 PM

Every NFl game has snipers at them. And every time those giant 7 foot tall men walk by me carrying their 6 foot long rifles I think “there aren’t enough therapists in Colorado if that gets used in front of 70,000 people.”

It’ll be the safest place in our nation that day.
Also, those guys are hot AF.

Didn’t see that. I know bush has attended but apparently wasn’t sitting. Principle is still the same since some resented that too. Still don’t care. When I say I don’t care, I am saying there is no reason to shut him out just because someone doesn’t like him. There’s no reason for the camera not to pan to Taylor or trump just because some people don’t like them and some people do. I’m not a fan of the guy but I could care less if he attends or if our guys visit the White House when we eventually win the Super Bowl.

I think we all know how I feel about the man but the position and title of President of The United States is still an honorable flex. Our kids need to see them out in the wild.

Our tax dollars pay for everything our elected "leaders" do. Obama watched a baseball game with Castro in Havana. We paid for that.

Bush was on a month long vacation when Katrina hit. Dude didn't even stop his vacation for 3 days. We paid for that too.

----

While I dislike this elected leader... I also understand that the dude can't just be sequestered at the Oval office.

el borracho 02-04-2025 12:44 PM

Trump wants to be there for the behind-the-back pass from Mahomes to Kelce who then runs 87 yards before tossing the lateral to Kareem Hunt who runs the final 13 yards for the go ahead TD as time expires.

All I know is he better at least do what Biden did last time and put our helmet on when we go to the White House. That shit was pretty epic, and the team was dying. I was laughing my ass off.

No, that’s not what I’m saying. Presidents can attend the SB. It’s a cultural touch point in our society. Having President's there is not an issue. Every President will have supporters and detractors. As long as they don’t get political and just there as president, that’s cool.
