How do we feel about the Super Bowl?

What's the pulse of CP right now on the Super Bowl?

-King- 02-06-2025 10:02 AM

It's super

ptlyon 02-06-2025 10:02 AM

We're in it

Spott 02-06-2025 10:03 AM

69-0 Chiefs

Pablo 02-06-2025 10:04 AM

33-27 Chiefs victory

KC_Lee 02-06-2025 10:07 AM

Close game, just the way the Chiefs like it.

Bearcat 02-06-2025 10:40 AM

I'd like to say an arms-length type of win... one where the score is fairly close, ~10-13 point lead, Eagles don't ever have possession with the chance to take the lead in the 2nd half, but have the ball on a few drives where they get close or tie the game (or at least have the chance to).

And I'd like to say that because Mahomes was locked the hell in during the AFCCG, and not expecting anything less of course. And even when they left points on the board, the defense showed up when it mattered the most. Plus, all the Eagles stats coming in also look so.... underwhelming.

I voted 1-6 point win though, because I felt the same way two seasons ago, where I said the Eagles would have to prove it on the field... then by halftime I was like, yup they're pretty good! So, I'm potentially underrating their ABILITY to play with the big boys a bit simply because they didn't even play any of them in the regular season.

I'm also fascinated by their run heavy scheme this season and really wonder what they'll do on offense, so that's a pretty big unknown variable, IMO. Hurts had the game of his life a couple SBs ago, so while chances are he won't duplicate that against a defense that no longer has several rookies in their first SB, will they take the training wheels off in this game or just go Barkely heavy. The former will most likely result in a closer game than the latter, no matter how scared everyone says we should be by Barkley.

smithandrew051 02-06-2025 10:48 AM

Game stays close but Chiefs pull away late.

77-3. Chiefs win in a game that’s too close for comfort.

scho63 02-06-2025 10:48 AM

I have been all over the place on how I think this game plays out.

The two weapons we must stop are Barkley obviously but also Dallas Goedert. He may be a real problem for us.

I have some worries about their pass rush but I don't think anything will ever be as bad as the Tampa Bay assault on our 2nd and 3rd stringers.

If we go into half time at worst down 7 points, I am confident in our second half performance.

Of course penalties have to be as minimal as possible and we can't have turnovers or injuries.

ReynardMuldrake 02-06-2025 10:49 AM

Philly has some good talent but we have a massive coaching advantage. They will abandon the run in the 4th quarter trying to score, then waste an early timeout. A well-timed corner blitz results in a Hurts strip-sack late in the game, then they watch helplessly as we kneel out the clock.

KC 31
Philly 24

GDT when the Chiefs give up a FG up 38-0... WHY CAN'T THEY EVER PUT A TEAM AWAY!!! :cuss:

Womble 02-06-2025 10:55 AM

Close game. We go up in the 4th quarter by 7, Eagles respond and score a TD with 2 minutes on the clock and then Patrick drives down the field for the walk off Butker field goal.

Graystoke 02-06-2025 10:57 AM

Its gonna be close.
I'm just happy we are in it. I hope we seize the moment and win one more game to seal history. Its a big pressure game.

FlaChief58 02-06-2025 10:57 AM

I'm just glad that my favorite nfl team, the Kansas City Chiefs, are able to play in the YUGEST game of the year. I also hope that they will win biggly

Womble 02-06-2025 10:58 AM

Also it's quite funny how many Eagles fans think it's going to be a blowout. We haven't been blown out in years. The hardest teams they've faced this year are Washington, Baltimore and the Packers who all have major weaknesses. They are going to be in for a shock when up against a well balanced team led by the greatest ever quarterback and HOF coaches.

Mahomes007 02-06-2025 11:31 AM

Worried about shades of Tampa Bay... their O and D lines winning the battle in trenches and their running game. If Caliendo isn't holding up they need to shift Thuney to LG and Humphries (after all that rest) to LT. Take that risk and adjust if needed

The Eagles D-line is no where near as good as Tampa's D-line from 2020. Also, KC is healthy as it's been in years - no major injuries other than Rice.

BlackHelicopters 02-06-2025 11:49 AM

KC 29-25.

pugsnotdrugs19 02-06-2025 11:50 AM

Chiefs 28, Eagles 17.

Rain Man 02-06-2025 12:01 PM

We'll be so far ahead at halftime that they'll switch to a more competitive game by re-airing the Super Bowl from 2 years ago.

They only blitz 19.1% of the time. So if Mahomes throws is 35 times, that would be 7 blitzes.

The Chiefs are not walking into this game with 4/5 backups on the OL. I think you’re gonna see Creed helping whoever Carter lines up against.

Terrible analogy. Tampa’s defensive line was far superior to the Eagles line and we aren’t starting an offensive line consisting of almost all backups playing out of position.

Gary Cooper 02-06-2025 12:48 PM

We'll win by 6.

31-25.

I thought more people would pick blowout based on some of the predictions I've read here last week.

DJay23 02-06-2025 12:52 PM

We play it close on both sides as we set up the wrinkles. Then in the 4th quarter Andy and Spags unleash a masterpiece of countermeasures that have the Eagles' heads spinning.

We win by 6 or less, and people will say we came clawing back from behind, but it was all rope a dope for 3 quarters so we could land the death punch in the 4th.

Boxer_Chief 02-06-2025 12:53 PM

My favorite football team from Kansas City 27, the team with the reerun for a coach 24.

Why are there 3 poll options for Eagles wins?

Because someone will inevitably complain, "why isn't there an option for [fill in the blank]?" So I included the same number of choices for the Chiefs and Eagles.

After much thought, 30-21 Chiefs!! Buttkicker kicks the clinching FG to make it a two score game which is too much for the eggles.

Let’s make a bet. If at least one snap is played in this game, you’ll never post again. If not, I won’t. Deal?

SeattleChiefFan 02-07-2025 01:21 AM

Remember when “because chiefs” meant we were going to lose in some incredibly ridiculous way; And now it just means “meh, the Chiefs will win a close game ‘cause that’s what they do”?

God, life has been good lately.

Mephistopheles Janx 02-07-2025 01:54 AM

I haven't gone into a game feeling like we could lose since our first SB in the Mahomes era.

We win this game. The only question is... by how much?
