Rashee Rice & Xavier Worthy

I know we're doom and gloom today and we should be but I can't help but be excited by this young duo. Get Mahomes some protection and watch these dudes go off.

Xavier Worthy in the superbowl 8 catches 157 yards 2 TDs

Rashee Rice last game before getting hurt
12 catches 110 yards

pugsnotdrugs19 02-10-2025 01:42 PM

Posted in my thread moments ago, but this is the identity of this team and offense especially moving into 2025.

You build the plane out of them and Mahomes.

Dunerdr 02-10-2025 01:46 PM

Yeah I said we missed Rice pretty bad yesterday. Killatrav was always the go to when it wasn't working. Last year that job was getting handed over to Rice. We just didn't have an easy button to spam a few times and get us out of the mud. Next year we will have two. its going to be ****ing sweet. Tyreek and Sammyesque.

BenoniBenko 02-10-2025 01:49 PM

That's going to be tough to stop next season

Dunerdr 02-10-2025 02:25 PM

I’m legit horny for the duo

Cheater5 02-10-2025 02:31 PM

I hope Rice quickly finds his groove and doesn’t take long into the 2025 season before he’s back to where he was before the injury.

Wisconsin_Chief 02-10-2025 02:31 PM

Get a left tackle and a dynamic RB. Hopefully, Kelce retires but if not, he becomes nothing more than a role player. Let this offense flow through Mahomes and the skill positions. Enough wasting the best QB the world has ever seen as a game manager. Stop pussyfooting around and revamp the offense, it's been stale as living hell for 2 years now, if not more. Time for a refresh.

In58men 02-10-2025 02:32 PM

Hopefully Rice’s injury doesn’t affect him. Some players have came back not looking the same as before.

smithandrew051 02-10-2025 02:32 PM

Rice was going to be All Pro.

Mahomes and him were locked in.

It wasn't an ACL injury. He will be fine.

chiefzilla1501 02-10-2025 02:45 PM

Easy to forget that these two played together but worthy was nowhere near the player he is today. These guys will be a dynamite duo. I still also really like the idea of bringing back Hollywood at the same type of 1 year deal which I imagine he’d be game for.

From there, we need to get Mahomes confident in making the aggressive throw again. Too much give and take early on. Worthy made a mistake, mahomes loses trust, mahomes makes a mistake, worthy loses confidence. These guys are both Texas guys and it will be great for the two to have a full offseason to put in the work on getting in sync

KCUnited 02-10-2025 02:55 PM

One thing about Trav is Worthy credited him with teaching him how to "play with Mahomes". Breaking off routes in zone to just get open

I'm sure it was similar for Rice, so yeah, the combo of Rice and Worthy has me excited

Bump 02-10-2025 03:06 PM

hell ya it's going to be one hell of a duo

still gonna need some depth though because those are the only two WR's scheduled to come back next year.

Marcellus 02-10-2025 03:07 PM

I think we try to bring back Hollywood as well, would be a killer trio. Fix the OL and eat.

BWillie 02-10-2025 03:10 PM

Rice is better than Worthy and Worthy is ascending. Two different type of players who compliment each other.

I don't want any part of resigning Brown or DHop. Find some young guys. If you know Wiley ain't it...draft another TE and do whatever you can to get a LT.

ShowtimeSBMVP 02-10-2025 03:37 PM

How many games you all think Rice gets suspended for next year?

So you’re going with Worthy and a rookie or journeyman for possibly up to half the season while Rice is suspended? I don’t see why Brown should be all that expensive, he’s a better #3 option and backup than most other guys they’re going to find.

Sassy Squatch 02-10-2025 03:50 PM

**** that brokedick. Sick of putting eggs into the washed vet basket. If you're going to do that just bring Juju back at Vet minimum. At least he can be counted on to make a play or two when it actually matters.

I mean I like the potential of Xavier, but I'm not sure if I'd use his super bowl stats as any special reference. Wasn't it against B team players in Pre-vent with the game way out of hand?

Chiefshrink 02-10-2025 04:20 PM

I don't know why everybody's getting all excited about Rice. He's gonna be suspended half if not 2/3 of the season next year and there's no guarantee he comes back playing like before he got injured.

Yes, it's called garbage stats! You are spot on! Don't get me wrong I still believe in worthy, but the majority of his stats were garbage stats

At MOST he gets 6 games. It will probably end up more like 2.

If he gets anything above 6 games at this point, I'll be shocked.

And his injury is nothing to be concerned about based on what I have studied on it. It isn't like an ACL.

Hey brother, we need protection pure and simple. Mahomes didn't get it. Therefore, he played bad. Having Rice there would not have made a difference when you are not getting protection. When there is no protection, the quarterback makes a lot of mistakes most of the time trying to overcompensate while losing confidence all along the way. Nothing personal just saying.

MahomesMagic 02-10-2025 04:29 PM

I mean Hollywood is a vertical threat WR.

He barely got used because our offense doesn't throw verticals or stuff deep down the field.

Bring him back and fix the OL so we can unleash him.

There’s absolutely no reason to think he gets more than 6. And 6 should be on the high side.

Rice could be in jail.

Easier said than done. Especially when you have a head coach that hangs onto o-line people who are mediocre at best. What you don't wanna see happen is our quarterback start to get skittish and permanently skittish playing worse on a consistent basis because we don't provide him a Lamborghini offensive line or at least a Ferrari line at the bare minimum a Corvette line we can't provide any of those three for him and never have.

Yep! He walked away and that says volumes, especially when he didn't even know if anybody was hurt or he killed anybody. Best thing he could've done was to stay and be the good Samaritan. But he didn't and that's gonna hurt him big time.

We've been chasing Left Tackle ever since Fisher got injured before the Tampa SB.

It's Veach's White Whale.

ThyKingdomCome15 02-10-2025 06:45 PM

We thought we had LT covered.

-Kingsley can grow, he'll be ready. Nope!
-Wanya was drafted on the third round, second year player. He's serviceable. Nope!
-DJ Humphries... NOPE!!!
-Thuney got us there... but it wasn't enough with Caliendo next to him.

Nobody will trade us one and drafting a rookie even if we trade up isn't all that reassuring.

Conclusion: We're in LT Limbo and shall continue to be unless something unforseen happens.

Cleavage 02-10-2025 06:52 PM

Rice should be in jail.

6 feels absurd to me. 2 seems fair.

Hoover 02-10-2025 07:33 PM

He's going to get nothing. If players start missing games due to car accidents the NFL is in real trouble.

Yeah, it's the street racing and hit and run that's the problem.

If you can get away with murder during a street race like Jalen Carter I think you can get away with a hit and run with no major injuries during a street race.

Well, Jalen Carter wasn't in the league when he did that so he's not going to be punished for it.

Deberg_1990 02-10-2025 08:08 PM

Keep drafting WRs. No guarantees Rice will ever be as good as he was before.

Everything I've heard lately sounds like he'll be fine. But they probably should draft at least 1 WR in the mid rounds because there is just no depth. They probably need to bring back J Wat too

Yeah, there has been no indication he won't be back to 100%.

By all accounts, his rehab is on schedule.

SAGA45 02-11-2025 10:25 AM

Bringing back Brown and adding a truly explosive, gamebreaker RB would seal it in terms of weaponry. Having a RB that scares defenses opens up a new world for this offense.

What? SMH.

You think he's going to be suspended from 9 to 12 games? WTF?
