Was Mahomes concussed in this game?

I just saw this, didn't notice in the game:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/nf...rdict-Patrick-

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">This is getting a lot of traction. While a whiplash motion or (possible) head to ground impact can cause <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/concussion?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#concussion</a>, Mahomes didn&#39;t appear to show any specific concussion signs at any point and I don&#39;t think he had one. What do you think? <a href="https://t.co/ohTwEBQkXe">https://t.co/ohTwEBQkXe</a></p>&mdash; Chris Nowinski, Ph.D. (@ChrisNowinski1) <a href="https://twitter.com/ChrisNowinski1/status/1889046469191057699?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">February 10, 2025</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Not an excuse, but a possible reason...SOMETHING was off for sure, and this was on the first drive I believe...

No.

He just played like shit.

Accept it.

ping2000 02-12-2025 09:08 AM

Well, it didn't help, but Holy balls, he would have still been running for his life all game even without a concussion. O-line was shit.

Wallcrawler 02-12-2025 09:13 AM

Andy Reid was concussed before he drew up the scheme for that game.

TheGreatCassholio 02-12-2025 09:16 AM

Seems like the whole Offense was concussed

KC_Connection 02-12-2025 09:18 AM

No but his LT played like he had one.

Kind of hard to play QB when your OL is Swiss cheese.

Red Dawg 02-12-2025 09:21 AM

Same issue was said after the Cini playoff game. Moot point even if true. Wentz certainly wasn't winning the game anyway.

Done that all season.. he admitted he should have taken what Eagle d gave him.
They didn't run early in the game but later was too late.
Bad play calling, qb running around like sand lot play....
Starts at rhe top...Reid and Nagy didn't have a clue

pugsnotdrugs19 02-12-2025 09:26 AM

He threw two of his best passes of the entire year in the fourth quarter.

LT played like he should play LG.

LG shouldn’t be on a roster.

FloridaMan88 02-12-2025 09:32 AM

I felt concussed watching that train wreck.

InChiefsHeaven 02-12-2025 09:41 AM

I mean, Patrick's the kind of guy who wouldn't say if he was woozy or not feeling exactly right after getting his head slammed into the ground. I could see him having some issues for a while in the game. Maybe it finally cleared up or whatever, but his head looked like it absolutely bounced off the turf.

I'm NOT SAYING it's an excuse, but it could be one of many reasons why he looked so disjointed and out of sorts. The main reason being the Philly D was awesome.

We got beat by a better team… Wish it was as simple as a concussion…

scho63 02-12-2025 10:15 AM

Going down a rabbit hole of silliness

Bearcat 02-12-2025 10:19 AM

It's possible, but he played like that a decent amount throughout the season, too.

At least in the Bengals AFCCG, he went from looking great to terrible, so it made more sense... being so early in the SB, it's just tough to say without him coming out and saying he was concussed.

BigRedChief 02-12-2025 10:32 AM

There is no way to explain his play away other than it was on him. He's human, not a one of us are perfect.

A better analogy would be the Cincy game when he talked Reid into going for the TD on the last play of the 1st half already up 20+ points. He blows that play.

Maybe Reid and him have a conversation at the half, it doesn't go well. Whatever happened in that locker room at halftime, he came out of that locker room a different QB. The worst we ever saw him play. Cost us a SB.

Lmao.

Bro.

They were up 11.

It was 21-10 and we deferred, so we would start 2nd half with the ball.

The issue was that Bieniemy and the offense had spaced the fact that Big Red lost a timeout on that dumbass ball spot challenge early in the first.

You see Hill get tackled and Mahomes instantly calling for timeout.

Lack of awareness from top to bottom screwed that play.
