I'm not sure there's any coach or front office that wants to risk their livelihoods on a 3 year rebuild anymore. Fans and media are so short-sighted now that it's going to take a very stable owner/front office to risk something like that.

Buffalo fans were drooling over Garrett and Hollywood… now both off the market.

This is not good for us. We have to re-sign Furious George in a year and the ceiling rising at the top of the position will definitely bring up the price in the middle.

Every team constantly has to re-sign players. If it hurts us at all it hurts every other team and therefore doesn't really matter. The only thing that matters is an all-pro great player is now married to a hopeless franchise rather than being an actual threat on a contender.

The Browns have an argument for being one of the worst franchises in pro sports.
