New season of “Quarterback” on Netflix

Coming this summer.

Obviously it won’t be as interesting without Mahomes since he carried the first version of the show.

I guess people could relate to Cousins and he was ****ing wholesome, but for such a documentary he's just so.... boring.

Taking days off mid-week, his wife saying "she wouldn't know what she'd do without that day off from football," his absolute awkwardness on the field...... it's like if the writers of The Office did a satire documentary of NFL players like they were average corporate drones.

Disagree, I thought Cousins' goody two shoes persona was hilarious in contrast with the other players. He's a churchy mama's boy of a dork, but he can poke fun at himself. The surprise appearance at the awards show was great.

Now Mariota on the other hand, THAT dude is boring. He has ZERO personality. Nothing even slightly entertaining happened on his segments for the entire show. I still can't understand why they put him in front of a camera.

Deberg_1990 03-19-2025 07:46 PM

I want to see a season with guys who struggle with adversity

DeShaun Watson
Russell Wilson
Trevor Lawrence

Womble 03-19-2025 07:53 PM

At least they have a bit of variety by getting a shitty QB like Cousins and an average one like Burrow.

I never bothered watching the Receiver doc that was jam packed full of All-Pros. Had they pick any one of our terrible WRs not named Rashee Rice in 2023 it would have been compelling TV.

FloridaMan88 03-19-2025 07:55 PM

It follows last season, so it will show Cousins getting benched, creating some drama.

Hell yes. Everything about him was boring and bland. I found myself feeling sorry for him for being such a ****ing dork that was too awkward to have friends.

Yeah, Mariota was awful.... less personality than Cousins and seemed by far the least motivated of the three (Mariota's wife: ok dear, let's go over your flash cards again... LMAO).

I totally get why they have Cousins back... he's relatable. That's kind of the problem though, IMO... I want to know MORE about how Mahomes makes himself so ****ing elite. That's a goldmine of information we don't normally have access to.

IMO, if you watch one Cousins segment, you've watched them all.... I wouldn't learn anything more by watching him or probably be surprised how he handled going to Atlanta, etc.

Great. We’ll have to find out just how gay Joe Burrow is.

Watched some of it... where I left off, it was centered around Davante Adams' constant crying about his life decisions.

Burrow is gayer than 8 guys blowing 9 guys

Jewish Rabbi 03-19-2025 08:04 PM

Hope they show Burrow’s house being broken into when that whore who wasn’t his GF was staying there

ReynardMuldrake 03-19-2025 08:06 PM

Also, I thought that scene where they toured Cousins' house was very revealing. He showed off the shrine he had built to put a Lombardi when he wins one someday. But he sounded almost embarrassed about it? Like it was something young Kirk had done back when he knew he could still take on the league. When he said it, there was a sadness in his voice, like he just realized that his moment had passed and he's never going to win one.

Megatron96 03-19-2025 08:10 PM

Meh. May not watch this one. Don't need to see Cousins again, nor am I interested in Goff's personal life at all.

ReynardMuldrake 03-19-2025 08:10 PM

Kirk's a dork, but he leans into it. He doesn't try and be something he's not. He does his own thing, and I respect that.

Marcus looks like a football player out of central casting. He's like an actor reading a script for his own life and he forgot all his lines.

KCUnited 03-19-2025 08:14 PM

Autism awareness with Burrow seems like it could help some people so good on Netflix

wazu 03-19-2025 08:55 PM

I guess part of the formula has become follow the Falcons QB who gets benched mid-season.

Hoover 03-19-2025 09:22 PM

Pretty good storylines for all three of you ask me.

Joe is red hot but can’t get wins.
Goff wins a lot but has some awful games.
Cousins moves, hurt to start season, never what he was.

Flying High D 03-19-2025 10:11 PM

When does CPer on Netflix premiere?

Yeah, but we saw that. How many more times do we need to see Cousin’s forever-empty Lombardi shelf in his trophy room, or his wife telling him he did his best even though it wasn’t enough? It was clear the first time he was a journeyman family man. Give us a new shtick.

Trevor Lawrence has been one of the biggest busts in the NFL and has gotten a free pass.

Not sure how except the Jags get little coverage. Like a forgotten franchise.

The whole deal is ****ing strange.

Davante was a huge crybaby. He was on the sidelines saying “I need to get out of here before I lose my ****ing life” because Jimmy G was throwing him some bad passes lol drama queen

Rainbarrel 03-20-2025 06:39 AM

What are they selling? Butter flavored air popped popcorn spray

RedRaider56 03-20-2025 06:50 AM

Welp, with that lineup of QBs I know I won't be watching any episodes

Just give me an entire season on Jameis Winston. That's all I'm asking!

That would be too revealing possibly. Those fun characters are always ruined with deeper dives.

Most boring was Mariota...his wife and Chef were more interesting.

ThrobProng 03-20-2025 09:09 AM

Quarterback Season 2 going full DEI with homos and reeruns.

PatMahomesIsGod 03-20-2025 10:42 AM

Is Glass Joe going to come out of the closet on air??

Deberg_1990 03-20-2025 10:46 AM

Burrow and Cousins should be fairly interesting. This has already been filmed last season right? Both their teams and themselves struggled at times.

Goff seems like a square. But who knows?

It's been clear since Michigan State. Cousins isn't elite and never was
