End of Aaron Rodgers Watch 2025?
Apparently he's making his first visit...and it's to the Steelers.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The plan in Pittsburgh is for Aaron Rodgers to visit with Steelers coaches.<br><br>Pittsburgh has kept its offer open to the four-time MVP, and one source says “it’s possible an agreement is reached today.” <a href="https://t.co/jaS2nbLbDV">pic.twitter.com/jaS2nbLbDV</a></p>— Dianna Russini (@DMRussini) <a href="https://twitter.com/DMRussini/status/1903132685825896871?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 21, 2025</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The first visit for free agent QB Aaron Rodgers… <a href="https://t.co/hSEil6ndcD">https://t.co/hSEil6ndcD</a></p>— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) <a href="https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/1903132061298483475?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 21, 2025</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
Wish he would just go away.
Russini too. |
The Steelers just keep re-arranging the deck chairs on their ship to nowhere.
But congrats on keeping Tomlin’s .500 streak alive. |
Grampa QB train pulling back into Pittsburgh.
|
I have been so wrong on the Steelers.
Personally I think it would suck signing him, which means it will work out. |
Cool. I hate Pittsburgh.
Congrats on signing cancer! |
This is really good for us. Makes life hard on the Ravens and Bengals.

What does he have left, a year or 2?

It amazes me that ANYBODY would want hire this guy. His agent must be a Jedi knight with a PhD in voodoo. |
Upside for Steelers fans: If he's better than Russ, you might do decent.
Another Upside for Steelers fans: He could be atrocious enough to finally lead to Mike Tomlin leaving. |

Rodgers is fools gold at this point, a huge cancerous dickhead who doesn't wanna put in the work and lacks any semblance of leadership qualities... can't believe anyone still wants him |
The only Aaron Rogers update I want is when he inevitably ODs and dies from licking toads.

The Steelers will be irrelevant for a long time. They have already won their allotted Super Bowls.

They're always just good enough to be a pain in the ass for Baltimore and/or Cincy. I mean would you prefer they go be the Jets and just roll over and die for Buffalo each year? New England? Nah -- keep doing what you're doing, Pittsburgh. You're no threat to win a game that matters but you're good enough to be a thorn in the sides of teams I'd prefer see lose games. |

He's someone that can't be as protective of his TD/INT rate or his completion percentage anymore. He can't move around well enough to guy the time that made some of those easy tosses for him. He needs to be willing to stand in there, take some risks, occasionally take a hit and/or fire the ball OOB and deal with the ding to his completion%. But I think Rodgers is more aware of his stats than any QB in the league and he's used to having the mobility to keep those pretty sparkling. Its hard to argue with it -- it won him a couple MVPs when he probably shouldn't have. But after the achilles, he just doesn't have that ability anymore. |

I refuse to believe he'll ever take another team anywhere meaningful, but if he improves them enough to make them a serious pain in the ass for the likes of Baltimore and Cincy then go for it, I guess |
Wouldn't be surprised if Pittsburgh drafted Jaxon Dart to sit behind Rodgers...

But man every other facet of his game is garbage - his intangibles first and foremost - dude simply doesn't give a shit unless it glorifies him So yeah I've been swayed to a point here, if he makes them a bigger headache for the AFCE for a while, the Rooneys should probably go ahead and pull the trigger |

I thought for sure nobody would touch AT after last year's disaster, but it only takes one fool.

Didn't know I was supposed to be watching.

In a perfect situation, this guy still has it. Outside of a perfect situation, no.

Wish it was the end of your thread starting privileges

Ben retired at the end of the '21 season. I'd of swore they haven't had an offense in a decade

I don't think there's anything really wrong with Rodger's mind/football acumen. i think it's hubris. If he would just accept that he's not 30 anymore and hand the ball off more and get the ball into his playmakers' hands quicker he'd probably still be very effective. But he just won't accept that he isn't the same guy anymore. He's kind of like Russell Wilson in that respect. When Russ was really "cooking" he was running the ball around 6 times a game. Then he decided that he wanted to be a pocket passer and not run the ball, and his carries dropped to about 3/game. And his efficiency dropped right off a cliff, because he isn't a pocket passer at all. Rodgers didn't run the ball that much, but he relied on his ability to move around the pocket. to be elusive within the pocket, which has diminished a lot recently. But instead of adapting, as Favre or Elway did, he's still trying to be MVP Rodgers. it's just hubris, imo. Now, if he did find that humility and start adapting his game to the new circumstances, that Rodgers could be a pita. |
