College Football Playoff Moving to Straight Seeding

So it's basically an all SEC playoff at this point
|
I haven't cared about college football in about 5 years
|
So it’s basically now the SEC/B1G Invitational.
|
So now winning your conference doesn't matter
|
The SEC & Big 10 are going to kill the goose that lays the golden eggs.
|
Boy, that's gonna suck.
|
Good
|
So it's just the BCS + friends?

Here's how we fix college football. Get rid of the non-conference cupcakes at the start of the year. Make every game count.
- 10 Conference Games to determine the playoffs. - 32 Team Playoff: -Top 5 teams from the Big Ten, SEC, Big 12, and ACC get in. - Champions from the other 6 conferences get in. - Next 6 best teams or let the #2 team in the other 6 conferences in. The teams not in the playoff get to play 2 more games.Losers in the first two rounds of the playoffs get to play other losers. That gives everyone a minimum of 12 games. |

Why do i get this feeling in my guy that this is all because Alabama didn't make the playoffs?
|
So they fixed a flaw. Should be better now. You won't have the 12th seed as number 4 now.

It is the correct change. Boise State and Arizona State were good teams but not top five quality. |

Ya'll just make up narratives you want huh? CFB & basketball ratings were up. There's more parity than ever. |

And I'm sure given that info, they're all in favor of it... win your conference, guaranteed money. Get a top 4 seed, guaranteed money. It'll make the rich richer, but nothing new there. It changes nothing from who made it in 2024 though. The only downside to the system now, besides maybe overexpanding it a bit, is the selection committee itself... but with so many teams getting in now, there's just less and less room for whining if you lost 3 games in a season or had a super soft schedule. |

I think it'll make for better matchups down the line too |
Heh. This is all nonsense.
There are so many lawsuits coming down the pike you won't recognize college sports in 24 months. Players suing their university, universities suing their conference, conferences suing the college collective, conferences suing each other... It's just a cluster**** of greedy assholes. |

I think it's all gotten boring as **** and with the transfer portal being so easy, you just build a roster in one year and there's no development of players/programs.

Every single game was important. One loss could end your season/chance at a national title. That's what made it exciting week-to-week. That's gone. Recruiting and building programs. That's gone. Now it just feels like an NFL format with far inferior football. |

Now my football team might be able to bring in actual D1 quality players finally and I just expect them to all leave if they flash anything. Why not? I'd go somewhere else to play football and get pussy for an extra 100k/yr or whatever promises they give me at ****nut State |
