I agree there's a line they have to walk.

But, Obi-Wan was a ghost in ROTJ, so I see no reason he can't be a ghost in Episode VII.

However, this makes me worry they're going to have too many "mentor" figures in this movie.

The OT cast is old and will likely all be playing mentor type roles. You've already got old Luke surely serving as a Jedi mentor to some kid. Now we're gonna shoehorn in Obi-Wan as well? I dunno.

I don't want to see any force ghost battles for sure.

Obi Wan, Yoda and Anakin are Force Ghosts. Qui-Gon might be a Force Ghost. If the rumors are true, Sidious is a Force Ghost and he had at least one apprentice at the time Vader was his apprentice, who most likely learned how to become a Force Ghost from Sidious.

That's a lot of Force Ghosts.

I'm just concerned that all these Force Ghosts will have too much impact on the story line, mainly in an effort to bring back popular characters to the new movies, instead of actual great storytelling.
