It's already posted in the thread you linked. The other system was buggy, and because it was hosted on the same server as the rest of CP, it both added to our issues on game days and went down when the server got too busy.

I just want to remind everyone that TLO forced caps lock in the Broncos game chat and Mahomes threw lefty and our defense stopped a last-minute comeback. It was a miracle. Because of TLO.

I don't know jack shit about this type of stuff, but I always thought it was explained as threads that had too many replies/views that caused the most issues?

It's a combination of things. And yeah, the server will probably still shit the bed, but at least the chat will keep working. That's the point.
