IF they send Witt to the bigs, which is the better/likely defensive alignment? Dozier at 3b, Witt at 2B and Whit in RF? Or Witt at 3B, Whit at 2B and Dozier in RF?

MLB will never catch up to the NFL as long as each club is treated as its own entity and there's no hard salary cap based on TV broadcast revenues.

I don't get me wrong, I think Witt Jr could actually be ready. But is 2 months worth screwing yourself out of that service time? Hell no. If he had a full year of minors under his belt there also would be a better argument. He needs sometime to go through the highs and lows of actual competitive baseball as well.

Ftr I'm against starting Witt jr on the opening day roster but I just saw two reports that confirmed that Matheny is pushing for Witt on the opening day roster from sources I don't know how to evaluate. Sherman may be in his corner according to a different media outlet that I have no respect for. Opinions are like assholes, damn near everyone has one.
I'm at peace with it if they do, but it's going to drive ticket prices up. I don't think Dayton will bow to the pressure.
