I think so too. Most of his stuff is. It was a minor country hit this year. He's too good too make it big in a world of Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton.

I posted some of his songs earlier in the thread... don't think I posted any of those though. Love his stuff. Awesome post.

I like his earlier, more pure country stuff but his trilogy of The Houston Kid, Fate's Right Hand and The Outsider is by far my favorite. I think even people that think they don't like country would like those albums.

His newest, Sex & Gasoline, is pretty good, though not up to the standards of the previous three.

Hey beer me, I've had a hankering for some steel guitar lately. Got any good songs that will give me a fix?

Here's one that I don't think was released to radio. I think it's a good song.

I think her first three albums are amazing. I'm still not sure about her newest, though. It kind of sounds like they are trying to make her more mainstream or something.

After all this time, this is still one of my favorites.

Glad you liked. Shelby Lynne's whole first album is pure country like that. She's alternative country now.

You should check out more David Nail if you liked the first. I'll post a few more.

David Nail's song about his hometown of Kinnett MO. Great song.

David Nail "Red Light"

So this is how it ends
this is where it all goes down
this is what "I don't love you" feels like

It ain't the middle of the night
and it ain't even rainin outside
it ain't exactly what I had in mind... for goodbye

At a red light
in the sunshine, on a sunday
nothing to say, don't even try
some are comin home, some are leavin town
while my world's crashin down...
on a Sunday, in the sunshine
at a red light

I thought she was gonna say
somethin about that couple kissin, crossin the street
or somethin about this beautiful day
but she just looked me in the eye
said it's over
didn't try to lie, or pick a fight
I might have seen it comin that way

But at a red light, in the sunshine
on a sunday, nothin to say, don't even try
some are comin home, some are leavin town
while my world's crashin down
on a Sunday, in the sunshine
at a red light

there's a momma calmin down a little baby in the backseat in front of me
there's an old man dressed in his Sunday best, just waitin on green
but I can't see... gettin past...

this red light, in the sunshine, on a Sunday, nothing to say, don't even try
some are comin home, some are leavin town
while my world's crashin down
on a Sunday, in the sunshine...
