Yup - only two albums. He put some singles out afterward though.

Actually, it looks like he has been putting out classical guitar albums. He was known for the comedy songs but he is a very good guitar player.

It also looks like he still does shows at Branson.

My best friend at the time was named Bill. For some reason, he hated the song "My Girl Bill". :)

Luckily there aren't many guys named Sue or they'd hate Johnny Cash.

Chiefsos.... tomorrow is free for all friday. If we have it and someone requests it we'll play it. Last week we played Anne Murry, John Denver, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Rosanne Cash, John Conlee, Statler Brothers, Oak Ridge Boys, Vern Gosdin and others. We embrace it. I hate getting requests for current hits and I often ignore them.

You can play songs about smoking the reefer? I heard Zac Brown's "Toes" the other day, and they edited the word "fat" out of the line that goes something like "...roll up a fat one...". I'm not sure what doing that accomplished though, since it was easy to tell what the edited word was. It's kind of funny.

We play unedited versions. If people are offended they can listen to our competition. From looking at the numbers not many do.

I slept all afternoon thanks to fighting something off but I've been up long enough now. Alarm is in 2.5 hours so I'm going to get a nap and go to work.

Nice to see all the contributions tonight.

Dwight Yoakum is playing a smallish venue here in Portland in Sept. I'm going. Got to see Lyle Lovett earlier this year. Soon I'll have 2 of my bucket list concerts marked off in less than 3 months of each other.

I moved to Texas from Kansas in 1995, and in that time I've become a big fan of a lot of the Texas musicians, old and new. I apologize if any of these have been reposts.

Did he release that song or did someone else? I really like that one. One of the hits from the radio that I didn't want to gouge my eyes out.

Who doesn't like Willie??? You should be ashamed of yourself.

Along the lines of David Nail, I thought of this song.
