says who?

Wasn't Haley dog shit too until the Steelers hired him?

I forgot, Haley is now a cult hero because some reporter wrote that he didn't get along with Pioli.

I'd rather have Pioli, whose grace period is over, than a new GM who will need time to get his people and philosophy in place.

The Chiefs suck on the field because of a lack of leadership by the head coach and QB. I know some of you think it comes from the GM and owner, I disagree. Ownership and the front office set long term strategy and philosophy.

I think Pioli knows that he has to hire a legitimate head coach. He needs to understand that while the Chiefs are shaped by his philosophy, its still the head coaches team.

I think that means Pioli needs to select a proven HC. A known entity. The new coach at Pioli need to have mutual respect for each other, otherwise its never going to work.

The QB thing is a given.

Who the hell empowered these guys? I'm baffled here. The best thing about hiring a new GM is that there would be major change to the organization.

Brian Daboll?

"Brian did a great job with the offense and we led the league in rushing."

Josh Mcdaniels sounds about right, then they will keep Cassel, right after that we all meet in the Chiefs pavillion to drink cyanide.

GM sits behind a desk and is in a suite during the game. The head coach must command respect and provide leadership

Pioli is the worst option he's created a divide between the fans and the team.

It's very likely a new GM drafts a QB thus making this team a playoff competitor. If that happens Clark will have won the fans back over. There's nothing Pioli can do short of a playoff victory to win over the fans and given his track record the playoffs are unlikely.

no need for the Chiefs to start from scratch IMO. We have lots of pieces, just need a QB and Coach. Not small things, but I don't think the organizations philosophy is flawed.

New GM may mean new offensive and defensive schemes that require different types of players. Remember Gun wanting huge ass WR's and then DV wanting smaller quicker guys? If you want to actually build a team in the modern era your team needs a consistent identity and philosophy.

Hammock Parties 10-09-2012 07:43 PM

2011: "It was all Haley's fault."

2012: "It was all Cassel's fault."

Clark must have blown his profs at SMU to get that degree if he's dumb enough to accept those excuses.

There's no reason for any competent GM to look at this roster and think he needs to start from scratch.

For ****'s sake, Carl and Marty turned a ****ing loser into a winner IN ONE OFFSEASON.

What the hell kind of name is Soren anyway?
