Taking DOWN a dynasty!!!

To all my basket ball fans out there, I'm sure you might remember that there was a team not so long ago who dominated the NBA for almost fourteen years. They won five titles and just like the Pats had a legendary coach who had a "system" that garnered success and just kept on rolling. Vital to that success was a legendary player who the team was built around. And through every draft said team would always seem to find gems and make it fit the way they play to a tee. But as they were riding high and getting older, another team were building their own philosophy and culture, with three young players they drafted being at the centre of their rise which would eventually see them dethrone the champs and become a dynasty themselves. Of course I am talking about San Antonio and Golden State.

There's a lot of fanfare about Brown going to the Pats. But regardless of what they do, we've got our "Steph Curry", and it's been proven that they don't have any answers where Pat is concerned. No-one said taking them down was gonna be easy, but if anyone can do it, it's us. So let's embrace this challenge, not fear it.

All this is going to do is make it that much sweeter.

The Pats dynasty is going to end soon. It's just a matter of time. It happens to all dynasties in all sports.

The probability is that it will happen sooner rather than later. Brady isn't the QB he was just two years ago. And Brady probably won't play two more years. Edelman isn't the player he was two years ago. Gronk is retired, and even if he comes back, he's a walking injury waiting to happen.

In three or four years the NFL fan base is going to be whining about the nascent Chiefs dynasty.

What?

i'd actually root for your sorry ass team vs Pats (barf) but your defense is terrible. You stand no chance.

Stand no chance is a little harsh.

Pats are now the undeniable favorite in Vegas and likely the media.

That’s good. Give us more fire for being the underdogs.

The Pats are looking as strong as ever and if you don't think Brady can still throw you're wrong. This might be the best team they've fielded with a strong draft and their defense looks like a beast. What's worse is it looks like they have their successor to Brady in Stidham.

All that said we have a better offense than anybody. Our defense is 2 years away from being a strength but with Mahomes we can play with anybody.

I still think man for man we have the much better offense. But whatever, the game at their place in week 14 is gonna be hyped to high hell and it's gonna be a chance to draw a line in the sand before the playoffs.

I really just have to think between Gordon and Brown they're asking for trouble by the time we meet week 14.

Their O-line is questionable, they have no reliable TE and Brady looked pathetic in the superbowl. IMO Brown simply replaces Gronks production, that's all. They had Amadola, Cooks, Gronk, White etc against Philly and still lost.

Interesting take

This move makes Oakland fans Chiefs fans if it comes down to Chiefs vs Pats and AB

WhiteWhale 09-07-2019 06:08 PM

I just don't think AB can do the things he did in Pittsburgh.

He was so reliant on Ben extending plays and sandlotting I just have a hard time thinking he'll just be a system WR. Run his route, slow down, be in an exact spot.

He would have thrived more, I think, with a QB like Wilson or Rodgers. He's still ****ing good though. Hopefully he'll go AWOL and but heads with Tom.
