8 losses in a season?

As of today, Mahomes has started 94 total games for the Chiefs. In those games, his record is 75-19. In those 19 losses, only 3 of them have been by more than one POSSESSION! The rest were all by 8 points or less! Meaning we have been "in" every single game we've played (minus the 3 below) since September of 2019. We are being spoiled by the football gods. Enjoy it.

2021 Super Bowl LV vs. Buccaneers - Final Score: 9-31
2021 Reg Season vs. Bills - Final Score: 20-38
2021 Reg Season vs. Titans - Final Score: 3-27

Did the Patriots even make 4 Super Bowls in 5 years? The odds are astronomical

Wikipedia says they were AFC champs 2014, 16,17, 18.

2021 was a crazy year. The offensive line getting decimated before the Superbowl, then an all new offensive line to start the season. They looked like they would miss the playoffs for sure. Those blowout losses were just so uncharacteristic of the team. But, they turned it around and still made it to the AFCCG. Crazy.

If he goes to the Brown, I'm pretty cool with that. If he's not making us better I'd hope he's making the Bengals' lives harder.

Dhop has always been about the money. No reason to believe that's changed.

His list of desired QB's is just that; desires. He desires the bag more but no one asked him that.

Where does this belief come from?

But the game is not over. I'm pretty sure nobody is going to pay that kind of money for a 31 year old receiver at this point.

I also believe the Chiefs are stalling while they take stock of the young guys at the OTA's ... Seeing how much cap space they can create before camp ... And maybe let DeHop see that he's overpriced himself and take a chance that he'll come back to the table with lower expectations.

Purely speculation on my part.

They took a shot early under the radar and it didn't work out.

At least they pulled it off without getting egg on their faces.

I don't think they're done yet ... It just didn't happen now. I'm sure the new agent had a lot to do with that. He wants a splash signing with his new client.

Uh cause Hopkins is a significantly better player than JuJu is.

The Browns are being used as leverage, there is no way he wants to go there.

As long as he doesn't go to a legit contender, I won't sweat it either way.

If Hopkins signs to play for BoB and the Faketriots after all of this history, it would be crazy…

Early 2020
O'Brien assumes general manager responsibilities in January 2020, then shockingly trades Hopkins and a fourth-round pick to the Cardinals in March for running back David Johnson, a 2020 second-round pick, and a 2021 fourth-round pick.

March 2020
On March 18, Michael Irvin appears on ESPN's "Get Up!" and shares what Hopkins told him about his relationship with O'Brien.

"He told me, he said, 'Michael, it was a bit of a power struggle there' because Coach O'Brien thought [Hopkins] had too much influence over the locker room," Irvin said.

Irvin then claims O'Brien called Hopkins into a meeting and said, "Hey, the last time I had to have a meeting like this, it was with Aaron Hernandez."

Per Irvin, Hopkins was stunned that O'Brien would bring up Hernandez, the former Patriots tight end who was convicted of murder in 2015 and committed suicide in prison. The relationship "deteriorated" from there, according to Irvin.

"(O'Brien) got into talking about DeAndre Hopkins," Irvin says. "DeAndre Hopkins has a few kids from different women, and he said, he told DeAndre he doesn't like that he has his 'baby mamas' around sometimes. And from that, I think the relationship just went bad."

April 2020
In an interview with Sports Illustrated's Greg Bishop, Hopkins claims he has "no relationship" with O'Brien.

"There was no relationship," Hopkins tells Bishop. "Make sure you put that in there. There’s not a lot to speak about."

September 2020
Hopkins appears to take an indirect shot at O'Brien and the Texans. After his Cardinals win their season opener against the San Francisco 49ers and Houston suffers a 31-7 blowout loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, Hopkins sends a one-word tweet: "Grateful."

Belichick loves him, that's the only reason I can think of. There's audio from them when the Pats played Arizona last year and Belichick is talking to Hopkins like he's his son. "Good to see you out here today, you know you're the best in the game" etc etc
