Tyrann Mathieu: Chiefs fanbase “might be one of the most toxic in all of sports”
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Not a reputation you want to have with one of the most respected and vocal players in the league. <a href="https://t.co/4cqkrnxTUI">https://t.co/4cqkrnxTUI</a></p>— Arrowhead Live (@ArrowheadLive) <a href="https://twitter.com/ArrowheadLive/status/1454235246828867591?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 29, 2021</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
I’ll see you all in the fallout shelter…this thing is gonna blow…. |
This guy is such a bitch. Honey Vager **** him where are the folks who wanted to extend this asshole?
|
The toxic shocker, ya pussies
|
OMG, welp
|
He's been sensitive about his contract all year. Him, Frank, and Hitchens... Bye!
|
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">This is the most we've ever heard from Hitchens in this vein. <a href="https://t.co/kP1sNHvzbo">pic.twitter.com/kP1sNHvzbo</a></p>— Joshua Brisco (@jbbrisco) <a href="https://twitter.com/jbbrisco/status/1454243223635906567?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 30, 2021</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

I don’t know that I’d describe it as “toxic”.
But spoiled/entitled? Absolutely. |
I'm not up on the toxicity of other teams fan bases, but our fan base is toxic as ****.

Anyway there is no doubt he is pissed about not getting that extension and I think it is time for a parting of ways at this point. |

Chris Jones missing practices and games because of a sore wrist and now “personal reasons”, Frank Clark admitting during his press conference today that he has been “looking ahead” to the postseason and has not been focused, and now this bullshit.
Just compare/contrast the accountability by Mahomes this week vs the defensive “leadership”… Mahomes is locked in and committed to turning things around while the defensive “leaders” are MIA, making excuses or are crying like bitches. |
Log off Twitter then. Dude hops on Twitter as soon as the game clock hits 0:00. Wtf does he expect?

well, that's not a good look.
|
This is a country wide thing, nothing is up to "their" standards. They deserve better because... I really don't know who "their" is, other than very vocal.

Honey Bitch should get a perspective. |
The bucs players were right about the chiefs being soft
|
Well, maybe it will motivate these guys to climb out of the basement.
We are a historically terrible defensive unit. Maybe they should look in the mirror rather than blame the fans. I personally think it’s time to let bunch of these guys walk and get some hungry dogs in here. |
Locker room seems to be imploding
|
You assholes that pay my salary are poisoness.

Players coming together against what they perceive to be common opposition is not the equivalent of locker room issues. Locker rooms “implode” when they are fighting amongst each other. |

If you have not chased it down and read the entire thing on Instagram you should. Badger and Hitchens are totally dogging this fanbase. Saying they don't really care if they play here or not that they are too good and too smart not to get paid. How fans need to show appreciation or shut up.
I am left wondering if Clark, Veach, or Andy will say something to them about this type of behavior towards fans. Those fans will be here long after these guys have left. |
Lol. How dare Chiefs fans expect their highly paid players to actually play at a level deserving of their salary. They should be content with them underperforming. Daring to hold the team accountable for how they play is now toxic. Glad HB, Hitch, and Clark are gone at the end of the year.

It’s weird that they’re pissed at the fans rather than their performance. Not gonna lie, but I’ll take it. |
Stroll down to Independence and have a stare at that sign on Harry Truman's desk, young men.
|
I really don’t follow social media, is it normal for players to dog on their own fan base?
This seems pretty ugly to me. Jeesh. |
Anyone else surprised that Marcus Peters is not in that chain of comments "adding content" to what these guys are saying about the Kansas City Chiefs fans?
|
Luckily for Hitchens and Clark at least they will be on another team next year and they can enjoy those fanbases that appreciate them underperforming.

Leaders going after fans is about as bitch made as their performance.
Step to the opposing offenses with that sass. |

The thing is, people are pissed about the effort of the players, not necessarily the teams record.

Whatever they need to come together and get pissed off I guess. |
I don't have Twitter, but someone should comment about how this defense made Jalen Hurts look like the second coming of Warren Moon.
|
They want traded and know it will be for chicken feed.

Mathieu is a diva. He’s in the entertainment industry. Internet trolls come with the territory.
|
Ha. Have they been watching the X Factor video clips and news stories?

Maybe it is me getting older but I have no problem with what Hitch said. Everyone is going to have down year at some point and it seems some fans have forgotten already about them being in back to back SB’s. Seems they deserve a little reprieve from getting shit on.
Just my .02 cents |
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Chiefs fans don’t want to look in the mirror but the last 3 seasons has transformed the fans base into this. And the players see it on a daily basis <a href="https://t.co/bTZBu9b1Wv">https://t.co/bTZBu9b1Wv</a></p>— Daniel Harms (@InHarmsWay19) <a href="https://twitter.com/InHarmsWay19/status/1454238016357244928?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 30, 2021</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

We might be entitled, but that comes with the territory when you've got the best QB in the game. We expect greatness, because that's what Pat is and what the team around him should exude.
If you can't handle the expectations then GTFO. |
Honey Bitch should wake up and realize that the national media is criticizing the Chiefs defense just as much if not more so than the Chiefs fanbase and local KC sports media.
It’s not as if the fanbase is being unfair in their criticism of the defense. |

Yeah, Hitch and HB can get the **** out after this season. **** em.
And Frank too. Not for being a little bitch like the above two, but for massively failing to live up to that HUGE contract he was given. Thanks for the Super Bowl run, Frank. Nothing personal. Hitch and Badger can go **** themselves, though. After reading all that garbage, don’t want em here going forward. Thanks for the memories. |

Unless toxic is slang for just chill, this is not the right avenue.

**** the both of them....

Also another hilarious irony is that Honey Bitch’s alma mater, LSU just ran off their HC barely two years after winning a championship and leading the program to arguably their best season in school history. This is a results-oriented business… college and pro… and previous success doesn’t give you unlimited immunity to legit criticism/accountability. |
Love Hitchens talking about the team’s accomplishments while he has been here. The 2018 defense was historically bad, and this one might be worse and Hitchens was on both of them. He need to reflect on that. It's not him that led us anywhere and it was his 2018 defense that cost us a shot at the SB.
|
Guys like Neimann, Sorensen, and even Clark get drug way worse than either of these clowns and you don’t see them going after the fanbase on social media…they’re just looking for it.
|
Is there any connection between this stuff and HB missing from Chiefs activities today?
|
When is the trade deadline? Could this be the end of HB?
|
Just say you got caught up in the moment, HB. You got it in you
|
All sports fans are dumb assholes tbh
|
Isn't Tyrann the one that lives by the "Greatness is leased, and rent is due every day" motto?
This team is great now, and that comes with expectations. You should rise to meet those expectations, not take it out on the fans. |
We ought to tag HB and try to send him off to Jacksonville. His meltdown would be epic
|
This team seems to be falling apart. I don’t have much confidence that they’ll make the playoffs at this point. I hope I’m wrong. HB is supposed to be a leader but he spends way too much time on twitter. Of course people aren’t happy. You play on the worst defense in the nfl. What would you expect?
|
Quote:
It's like we're expected to be well adjusted and reasonable or something. |
**** them. Move on.
|
Quote:
Either way, I highly doubt the guy would miss practice because he’s pissed off at fans. |
Quote:
But I’m cool sacrificing some fans for another SB run. |
Just waiting for the HB jersey burning videos at this point.

Matthieu believes twitter represents real life. That’s not very smart.
|
**** honey bitch. I don’t want him back. With the money we would’ve used on him we can go ahead and make Tyreek the highest paid WR in the game
|
Quote:
And hell yeah I was at the game when we cheered Cassel getting hurt. And I'M PROUDDDDDD |
It’s also pretty sad that Hitchens wants to use past success to justify underperforming this season. If I recall they are all still getting paid on a game by game basis for this season only.
|
This feels like a pretty nasty collapse if this is the attitude going on in the locker room. Maybe not shared by everyone, but when Matthieu/Hitchens are doing this and Clark/Jones are practically mailing it in, it's bad news.
|
He can definitely kiss any hopes of an extension with the chiefs goodbye. There’s no way they can bring him back after he trashed the fans.
