RAPOPORT: Chiefs prioritizing extending Hill and Jones this offseason, may tag Ford
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">From <a href="https://twitter.com/gmfb?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@gmfb</a> Weekend: Among the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Chiefs?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Chiefs</a> key offseason priorities are locking up star WR Tyreek Hill and DE Chris Jones... Meanwhile, the franchise tag is very much on the table for pass-rusher Dee Ford. <a href="https://t.co/hm0j0PlS7k">pic.twitter.com/hm0j0PlS7k</a></p>— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) <a href="https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/1086970305921327106?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">January 20, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Hope this is all true, it makes a ton of sense. Sounds like Ford will likely be tagged, as Rapoport says they would like to keep him somehow. |
I think these are absolutely the right moves
|
Why wouldn't they? Makes a ton of sense..

The reason I’m particularly pleased with this is La Canfora said something last week about them leaning against tagging Ford, which makes zero sense to me.
|
“Duh” to this hot take by Rapoport.

When Ford was drafted, I recalled him saying something to the effect of wanting to be a Chief for life, I think he will ecstatic to stay here to be honest. Tyreek has also embraced living in Kansas City, and don't see any reason why he would be hard headed about money etc. Plus he's got a young kid, KC is a good place to raise a family.

I would think all 3 would be more than happy to re-up, basically because of the Mahomes effect and playing for championships year after year. :)
