Arrowhead Addict is okay but nothing that a lot of us here couldn't do if we put the time in.

Honestly, the best source of information is probably this board because it tends to filter out the bullshit and we get to examine things on their own for what their worth amongst ourselves. I get more from using an article as a starting point for further discussion around here than I get from the articles themselves.

I just wish there was a better way of highlighting actual news vs. random discussion. The Tyreek threads are good if you have time to read through hundreds of posts, but it's pretty damn tough to follow the latest developments around here.

I think that's really the biggest distinction between the two. Keysor rarely gives me a different perspective, he just gives me the visuals and the spadework to break things down better. Stout, OTOH, will go beyond that.

Pretty spot on.
I go through spurts where I will analyze a lot of technical play (because I’ve coached for 20 years), and you can always add to the toolbox by seeing things through the perspective of others: not just from an x and o standpoint, but also a technical one.

Don’t think he has been mentioned, but BJ Kissel is a nice read. Yeah he has homer goggles on, but he also some good information and he does a good podcast.

DaFace brought up Nick Jacobs too. I enjoy reading his work and his podcast is enjoyable.

Terez of course, and Nate Taylor of The Athletic.

the athletic sucks

Add Matt Derrick to the list. He isn’t great but he doesn’t have the bullshit that the bad journalist do. I always enjoy his training camp reports

DaFace 07-12-2019 11:35 AM

I'd put Keysor in about the same group as Mellinger with regard to the Tyreek issue specifically (though their areas of focus for articles is completely different). Both of them kind of jumped the gun with a lot of "Assuming it's true, he needs to be gone" stuff. But both of them have also owned up to it at this point.

So they don't get a trophy from me, but I'll still read their stuff if I see it.

I just wish he would cut the verbal pauses out of his podcasts. I hate to be that guy, but his "and things like that" drives me nuts after a while.

Agree that he's at least fair in his reporting, though.

verbal pauses are forgivable, because he may stammer a bunch naturally when he's attempting to convey his opinion
