And we're back to "normal" ladies and gentlemen. Scare quotes for CP, of course.

I'll be at the game tonight, so someone else will have to tell Pete to shut the **** up when we're down by two runs in the 3rd inning.

CoMoChief 05-19-2009 11:50 AM

What's KC's record against Cliff Lee? I would think that its not great.

WilliamTheIrish 05-19-2009 11:52 AM

Cliff Lee beat us 5 times last season alone. We made him the CYAW

sedated 05-19-2009 11:54 AM

IIRC, Lee was struggling this year...until he got to KC last time.

DeezNutz 05-19-2009 11:54 AM

If Hillman has Jacobs in the 4 hole tonight, I'll curse him more than usual.

he gonna stack everyone in the lineup that can bat right handed and have Tehan as the only lefty, just watch

Bannister and the Royals beat him 2-0 on April 22 in Cleveland.

knowing that we scored only 2 runs doesnt make me feel any better.

Let's start a winning streak. And then hope Meche and Greinke keep it going.

I'd be happy if Meche got 6 innings, 3 runs at this point. He's been far from an ace the few starts.

His numbers against lefties have to be horrible. I can't believe Hilman batted him cleanup against them last week. He also refuses to PH a righty when the other team brings in a left to face them and our lefty never comes though in the clutch, nor should they have to.

Great Expectations 05-19-2009 01:04 PM

Teahen might be the worst clutch hitter in MLB.

DeezNutz 05-19-2009 01:05 PM

Jacobs this season:

Against RHP: .273/.356/.649

Against LHP: .244/.306/.289

.289 slugging percentage? Are you ****ing kidding me?

There should be two hard and fast rules for Jacobs from a manager's perspective: 1. He never plays in the field. 2. He's never in the lineup against a LHP.
