I don’t think the chip shortage is going to last much longer than 2nd Qtr next year. As soon as new car inventories get back to normal, used car prices will come down. Sell your car, take the profits, and bum rides from family and friends until May 2022.

Just sold my 2000 Acura Integra with 207,000 miles for 3K. It was a manual so that made it more desirable. It was in fair condition and ran great. Maybe, I should've asked for more $$.

I got 30 text messages, multiple emails and lots of phone calls within two days after placing an add on CL. Placed the Add Tuesday evening and had it sold by Thursday. That was a unique car selling experience and I was a car salesman for over a decade.

I sold my neighbors 13 Impala last month. Had it on FB for quite some time...nothin. 2 days on CL and it sole to the first test driver.

My neighbor has a 2009 Accord EX coupe, 6 speed manual 115k miles for $5,000. That's a ****ing steal in this market.
