Will you take the vaccine?

I don't think this needs to go to DC because it's an apolitical question, more about how much you trust Big Pharma.

BigRedChief 11-23-2020 03:42 PM

No poll ?

ptlyon 11-23-2020 03:42 PM

Dis gonna be good

htismaqe 11-23-2020 03:44 PM

Question is flawed. There's more than one vaccine in development.

Spott 11-23-2020 03:47 PM

There’s a vaccine for herpes?

I'm not a fan of big pharma, but I am a fan of not dying. I won't say how I know, but one of them is exactly what they say it is, 95% effective. At my age and health condition, I'd be fool not to take it.

Bugeater 11-23-2020 03:53 PM

I haven't heard anything about a mid - December rollout

Pitt Gorilla 11-23-2020 03:54 PM

Absolutely. I've already had the virus, but give me all the protection you can.

ModSocks 11-23-2020 03:55 PM

My answer isn't "No ****ing way", but just no.

Not because i'm afraid of vaccines, but because i've simply never needed or wanted a flu shot and don't need/want one now.

If it was made here--yes.
I figure I will be on the third list anyway.

1. Medical
2. Elderly
3. Essential workers
4. Teachers

106. Politicians

Probably not broadly, no. You might have some frontline healthcare workers getting it by then, but my guess is we're still a few months away from broad availability.

I spend 8 hours per day digging in people’s mouths. So yes

Not because i'm afraid of vaccines, but because i've simply never needed or wanted a flu shot and don't need/want one now.

For the record, the flu shot is only about 40-60% effective, compared to 90%+ for the new COVID vaccines. There's also promising evidence to suggest that COVID immunity would last for years (or even decades) rather than a year for the flu shot.
