I'm going into the hospital tomorrow and will be having my left foot amputated probably Monday or Tuesday. Could be followed by my right leg sometime after that.

Diabetes is a bitch.

I don't usually talk about myself too much here, and I'm too argumentative to have many buddies on here...I don't know really why I even felt like sharing this info.

But here I go...Any well wishes will be appreciated, though I don't expect to many... LMAO

What's the plan after the amputation? Do you get a prosthetic? I don't really know much about this sort of thing.

I believe there will be enough of a stump left to have some kind of a prosthetic shoe...This has all happened kind of quick after the results of a bone scan test Tuesday and Wednesday, and just hearing the resultsa couple of hours ago...I can tell you more in the next couple of days.

I know it's not entirely easy to think about but please remember to do cardio and physical activity afterwards (as hard as that may sound.) I had a family friend pass away after having a similiar procedure because he let himself turn into a vegetable, he was only 52 when he had the leg taken off because of diabetes and was dead within 2 years. Sorry to hear about your misfortune and hope you can get a very functional prosthetic

I recently lost a friend who was the same age as me to diabetic complications. He too had part of his foot amputated and then his leg above the knee. Shit went down hill after that. Problem was, he never really took care of himself.

Please follow Dr's orders and do all you can to keep your diabetes under control. I've seen a lot of people on mine and my wife's side of the family succumb to this horrible disease.

PLEASE take care of yourself. I'll be praying for you.
