Shit being the key word here. The only people who like Runza are from Nebraska. I consider myself to have an iron stomach and that place puts me in the toilet for 24 hours.

You can pass on this place.

I second this. Even if you're not a zoo person, Henry Doorly is the best zoo in the world. The Rainforest exhibit is unbelievable and is something like 30 years old. No zoo I've been to has anything like it. I've been to several zoos, San Diego included, and I can tell you it's a must see.

Let me give you some recs that are a bit more unique but might be a bit costly.

For a really nice dinner hit up:

All locally owned and outstanding.

The Boiler Room - Old Market
Grey Plume - Midtown Crossing
Flat Iron Cafe - Just off the old Market
V. Mertz - The passage way in the Old Market

For Drinks: All in the Old Market
The Berry and Rye (Craft Cocktails)
Laca Lono - Tiki Bar
Wicked Rabbit - Prohibition Style place. You actually go in through a secret door in a small liquor to get in.

Mr Toad - Casual place to drink
Havana Garage - Cigars and Cuban Vibe
Brickway - Local Brewery and Distillery

All good ideas, Wicked Rabbit is great if you're a high end cocktail person

Ok, now that I got that out of the way, while Runza does have very good hamburgers for a fast food joint, skip that and find a Don and Millie's. Local chain, they're all over town, get the Double Don and Onion Rings. They have beer and Margaritas if you eat in.

Not sure what that hotel is costing you but we have a guest room you can stay in for free as long as 007 doesn't already have it booked. Hell I don't have a job so I'll Uber your ass around as well.

I like that place but yeah, it's a bit run down. And it has no exterior lighting, after dark it looks closed. And it's never really busy...I have no idea how it has stayed in business as long as it has.

Just Creighton and the CWS. Totally worth the $130M it cost us.

Still shocked this place is open as well. Food quality has went way down and the only time it is busy is when there is an event or concert in town. Used to be a big Creighton hang out but that is even fading. So many better casual places downtown.

Awesome zoo, although the kid was sad the polar bear exhibit was closed.

Was just there Saturday.

Don't go on a Saturday.

That sucks... it wasn't ever amazing by any means, but had better beer than most places and the food was good (and it was extremely convenient to park at).

My recommendations are obviously dated a bit... LMAO
