Anybody play Warframe? Downloading it off steam right now, looks interesting

if i can remember, I think Killer Clown was getting pretty hard into Warframe.

I am eagerly awating both DayZ Standalone Alpha, and Starbound, which goes into beta Dec 4.

I also have Rocksmith which will show up at my house on Dec 3.

SO many games so little time~

I've been heavily interested in purchasing Rocksmith, looks awesome. I haven't really looked into it very hard yet, but it seems like Guitar Hero with a real guitar that actually teaches you

After I posted, On top of scoring Rocksmith, my fiance could not contain herself and busted out the new guitar she bought me. I'm kinda psyched. Maybe one day I can go down to the local music shop and shred with some little kids.

As for Rocksmith itself, the 2014 version I got seems to be improved I cant wait to try it out.

Gonna take a small break from the PS4 and plunge into Gone Home...gonna take my time with this one.

I can show you the ropes if ya want, quite a fun game. I'm not playing as much as I used to. Also go with MAG as your starter frame, you won't regret it. Playing Defiance as well, just started that one up yesterday and it looks like I'll buy it(cheap too).

I can also invite you to our guild in Warframe, it's a fun bunch. Our DOJO has researched some kewl weapons as well. The best part about Warframe is that it gets new stuff constantly and it's free to play. I would imagine when it's finished it will be quite incredible.

Let me know how rocksmith works out - have a couple guitars I haven't played for about 10 years and I'm looking for a new hobby

You guys should check out defiance..it's free for the first 72 hours to check out...then only 9.99 to buy. Tons of content, and loot. So many weapon types and mod upgrades..fun fun fun. Coop and PVP.

I may take you up on this. Not sure yet right now though, i have to play it on the bare minimum specs until I get my rig built. The only game I'm surprisingly able to play at decent graphics is Path of Exile, so thats what I've been gaming on lately. I cannot freaking wait to have my SLI bridged gtx 770s :)

NP take your time, I am playing more defiance than warframe right now. I have most everything in warframe and just started defiance.

It's a lot of fun. I'm a guitar noob, and it's been great for me. The interface is 100x better than the original Rocksmith.

That game doesn't look very appealing. What makes it fun?

Starbound? Or are you watching him play risk of rain? As changes they are making to the game as we watch, have to be pushed to Steam etc, so he is playing risk of rain between, in which Leth is a developer, along with being a dev on Wanderlust games.

I cant really begin to tell you about starbound, except that its a 100% sandbox, procedural generated game, with infinite building possibilities (ala minecraft), modability, etc.

Dont know what to tell you, for me, its the most appealing game to be released in recent memory.

Did you ever play Terraria? It's basically a 2D version of Minecraft. You can dig/chop/smash just about every block in the procedurally generated world. There are resources like wood, ore, and stone that you can use to craft weapons, armor, tools, materials, etc. It's a ton of fun.

Starbound is essentially Terraria in space with a sci-fi theme.

Starbound is similar to Terraria in look and genre, (Terrarias artist is the lead Dev for Starbound) but in scope Starbound is the mountain, Terraria is the molehill.

Nothing wrong with Terraria, that's just how bad ass Starbound is. It does make a good basic comparison.

More Starbound hype! Totalbiscuit was givin a PRE-BETA copy to mess around with for the netx couple days until the official beta release on Steam. Speaking of Steam, Starbound will have Steamworks support, meaning automatic modding of all kinds via steam.

Been playing a lot of d3 again, kind of shitty on my laptop but it will do for now. I'm excited to see how RoS and taking out the AH will effect the economy and game, but.. If this expansion blows, I will never buy bliz ever again. I still have a lot of fun with the game but it is way unbalanced. I heard from people rolling barb in the RoS closed beta that if you have a barb, you're gonna want to re roll.

and to me, barb is the BEST and most FUN class to play in d3.

Ive got a max level char that can do at LEAST mp3 of each class. (my Barb is my main i Can do mp10 if im careful)

So im at the point now wher eim pretty maxed unless i want to do Uber runs etc. Expansion looks awesome tbh. Lots of beta streaming on twitch.

I havent played with you in a while, what gear and skills did you run on your barb?

I run 2h wep whirlwind build. Pretty much walk mp6, can do 7 and 8 fairly easily. Can kill 2 ubers at once in a 4 man mp7 if my partners die, if im lucky :P

Just purchased the Dragon Age: Origins/Awakening special edition. Was something like $12.99. Bit difficult to get into. One of the big problems is when you are trying to search your kills, your teammates get in the way.

So Starbound is ****ing epic. I played around with 3 or 4 friends last night and we just could not stop laughing, the game is too much fun.

It actually got up to the #2 played game on Steam last night behind Dota2 ... and this is with a bunch of content, AI, etc left out, and little bugs galore (BETA!). NO CRASHES though! And my server is still up and running. I have made it known before for CP people to add me on steam. If your playing starbound, we can build magical things together~

Terraria and Minecraft bored me to death, this game is however Awesome..SO many things going on, new and cool stuff to find constantly. I really didn't expect much from this but man it's quite awesome.

Inferno was a breeze with a barb? That's pretty insane. Barb is by far hardest because of gear dependency.

When you say inferno do you mean inferno 1? You should be able to walk it as soon as you turn 60 with like 100k worth of gear.

Yeah it was my first complete playthrough. I'm farming mp5 right now and doing well, a couple people have said i could do mp10 pretty well right now.

I could go all out with gems, but that would require GAF~ of which I have little. I definitely have the money to do it. Just havent got around to it.

I have been playing Left 4 Dead quite a bit lately. I didn't think I would get into online gaming but this game is awesome. People adtually help each other out.

Im still starbounding like a mofo. The game has been patched every day with new content/fixes/etc

How does it compare with Terraria? I really like Terraria and it is pretty much the only game I play right now, although I hop in and out of BF4 (PC) until I grow tired of getting raped.

Terraria is starbounds bitch. Starbound is Terraria that turned into THE HULK. Starbound is like if Terraria and Minecraft had mutated babies that turned into super heroes.

What is everyone's opinion on Radeon vs Nvidia cards?

Right now, the best bang for your puck is coming in the form of the new r290x . Nvidia had to slash prices across the board to compete, and they are still premium.

If I was building a system right now it would get a 290x.

Other choices are 760/770/780 depending on your budget

How much is the r290x going for? I have an nvidia overclocked 550Ti, would it be worth it to upgrade for a casual gamer? I have been very pleased with the 550Ti in the 18 months or so that I have had it.

Just did a quick google. Looks like it runs between 400-600 bucks. Might still consider it around tax return time if it is worth it.

AN r290x is roughly 4x as powerful. So yes, worth it.

Anyone play Dayz today/yesterday? I still have not found one zombie in the game. I am guessing it will come with a patch or am I just in the wrong spot? Game is pretty fun so far. It was pitch black, I saw some guy using a flashlight to creep around a house and snuck up and killed him.

We just need zombies.

I have a question for you GPU/frame rate gurus,

In Forza's version at e3 it looked far, FAR better than the final product which was released a few weeks ago. It appears the final product had been downgraded and I am guessing that is because Forza was originally running on powerful pc hardware. The results are here:

Forza 5 is running at 1080p/60 fps. If Forza 5 was running at say 720p and 30-40 fps could it look like the e3 build? How much does 1080p/60fps downgrade visuals?

I killed and was killed by plenty yesterday. I was also bludgeoned with a shovel, shot with an m4, stabbed with a screwdriver, chopped with an axe, and bled out from a pistol wound about 20 minutes after it hit me because I couldn't find one freakin bandage!

Laughingman has a private 24/7 daytime server up already, the rest of the servers are running on 24 hour day/night cycles that run 6 hours ahead of the actual time zone the server is set too. Which is stupid. As the private servers get going you will find a less hardcore community pop up that actually wants to play the game rather than scrounge so much.

The game is GREATLY improved from the mod, but still needs a ton of work. Of course, the game is in alpha, so you cant expect much more than for it to run.

the difference between 720p and 1080p is a big gap in processing power, its also a big gap in graphic fidelity. You are going to see quite noticeable texture and especially sharp edge differences. As far as FPS, if the game is running smoothly at either FPS, the gap is much less noticeable, but typically, if its running at a lower framerate than 60, you will notice ever so slight lag, especially in fast twitch games. Racing, probably not as much.

The inventory system looks much better.. I've yet to purchase it but in watching some videos, it looks great. I loved DayZ but I'm struggling to let myself pay $30 for alpha.

Inventory system is FAR better, more like a classic drag and drop etc.. game responsiveness is 100x better, no more 45 second loading screens, your in in 5 seconds flat. No lag between when you fire and when bullets hit. better hit boxes, server side zombies and loot.

Really they have done a great job, but I noticed you can still do things like glitch through fire station walls with the outside ladder, zombies still pushing through walls in some spots etc

DayZ is available? I kind of burnt out on the mod.

It is more user friendly, and yes you can now jump over objects,

Zombies are more zombielike and less crazed, and they are spawned on the server so they don't know where you are constantly etc. They really have made some big improvements, but they still have a long way to go.

I read something like they have made 10 million dollars in sales since release... for a freaking Alpha game.
