just hit his hand he will fumble the ball, 2 of our loses were directly because he fumbled late in the game from holding the ball like a loaf of bread.

*edit* that is the reason why he wasnt on on the field in the post season.

He averaged 5.4 yds/carry behind an OL that no other RB on the team could manage more than 2.5 yds/carry. And let's not forget that he tweaked his ankle in the week 3 game (IIRC) and yet still was our most productive RB until someone decided he needed to be rested.

But let's skip that part for a second.

He's going to be part of a passing attack that could be one of the better ones in the NFC. And he's a very good route runner and receiver.

Hell, look at his stats from 2019. Extrapolate for a full season, even splitting snaps with every other back on the roster, he would've finished the season with nearly 900 yds rushing.

I don't disagree with you but I think age finally gets him this year.

Who cares? The guy is done.

Andy benched him for the final three games of the regular season and didn't even bother activating him for the playoffs.

I'd like to see Terez or Nate or Mellinger report why this happened. McCoy signed with the Chiefs because of his relationship with Veach and Reid, which appeared to be burnt to crisp by the time the playoffs rolled around.

I don't see why. He basically had the second half of last season off; he should be very well rested and healthy.

Totally agree.

I’d love to read that story too because I heard it had nothing at all to do with his performance on the field.

He was our best back most of the regular season from a RB carry perspective. Very strange we chose to activate Darwin instead of Shady. Id like to know the reasoning, too. And it might be due to something unrelated to performance.

Eric's doghouse knows it some Shady

The scuttlebutt is that DT would do ST, and Shady wouldn't, for obvious reasons.

Does this relate to some pretty ugly legal issues being swept under the rug?

What I heard wasn’t nearly that specific. Just that he wasn’t playing because of issues other than his on-field performance

CJ Spiller... you have a call on line two...
