Seemed to be walking okay.........

treeguy27 10-17-2019 07:17 PM

Looked like a dislocated kneecap

KC_Lee 10-17-2019 07:17 PM

Walking all the way into to the locker room is a good sign.

58-4ever 10-17-2019 07:17 PM

I like the way he walked off.

Rasputin 10-17-2019 07:17 PM

He was walking it off .

I believe he will be back second half.

**** Andy Reid for QB sneak

It wasn't even the same leg that got hurt. And a QB sneak is a very safe play. People are just pissed cause he got hurt.

suzzer99 10-17-2019 07:25 PM

How long does dislocated knee keep a QB out?

It's not usually that dangerous of a play.

Last year was our year. Almost no injuries - league had no idea how to defend us except Belichik of course. Freaking Kareem Hunt and Dee Ford.

Because Chiefs

KCFTW 10-17-2019 07:27 PM

Just seems like a totally needless risk to run the sneak in that scenario. Bad things can happen anytime the QB takes a hit. You can just go down the list of QBs who have lost seasons due to injuries. With an al- world QB, I would just never even run the play unless there was something extremely important on the line.

suzzer99 10-17-2019 07:27 PM

Why does every team have that play against us and we don't seem to have it in our arsenal?

Mephistopheles Janx 10-17-2019 07:28 PM

I've been an ardent supporter of Andy despite his picadillos but this dude, in one single play call, has killed my support. Epic levels of stupid putting Mahomes in that position in this situation.

iDeaL 10-17-2019 07:28 PM

Isn't it just ****ing amazing how the Patriots run sneaks like that all the time with Brady and he never gets hurt? I mean shit, they ran ****ing 2 in a row last Thursday bc Tom Terrific wanted another rushing TD. Not trying to derail this thread and make it about him but goddamnit, the Chiefs are a cursed franchise...

JohnnyHammersticks 10-17-2019 07:28 PM

You simply do not run a QB sneak with a QB who's dealing with a chronic high ankle sprain.

It's entirely dependent upon the underlying damage to the ligaments and cartilage in his knee.

dlphg9 10-17-2019 07:28 PM

Dear God, it's a QB sneak. I don't think I've ever seen a QB get injured on a QB sneak.

For all the QB sneaks I've ever seen in my 59 years this is the only one I can remember that caused an injury to the QB.

Over 50 years of watching football, I've never seen a QB seriously injured on a Sneak. Just follow the center's ass and fall down.

With that said, if Mahomes is done for the year I have no interest in the NFL for the rest of the year.

DaFace 10-17-2019 07:30 PM

Lots of idiots in this thread. If a QB sneak is so dangerous, teams wouldn't run it. They do. All the time. And they rarely result in injuries.

Just wipe your vaginas and accept that shit happens.

How often do teams with colanders for an offensive line run their franchise QB up the middle? A dude that had already been dealing with a high ankle sprain no less (yes, other leg... we know)?

It seems massively counter intuitive to have Mahomes run up the middle in this situation and it put him in a spot to get ****ed up. Just another misstep in Andy's play calling history.

/edit - think of a kid that had a toy that has a broken left leg and it I'd being mended and the glue is setting. Before the glue sets the kid grabs the toy and starts playing with it and breaks the arm.

You still get annoyed at the kid for playing with a broken toy too roughly.

That is what you have here.

Titty Meat 10-17-2019 07:39 PM

By video, patella dislocstion for Mahomes. Significant injury that typically needs surgery. See details at https://t.co/dFDT8os6QG
