That was a joke. Not one thing he said in that interview (in regards to Denver) had anything to do with the preseason footage. Not one.

It was all the same conjecture others have said. No examples from the preseason, no in depth analysis of the game footage. Just another fluff piece.

For instance, the comment on McDaniels. McDaniels has shown nothing to this point in the preseason to warrant such praise. It's the same fluff comment others have made about McDaniels in the offseason. There are reasons to think McDaniels may (eventually) be a good head coach, but he's having a very rough preseason. There have been several clock management and situational coaching moments that McDaniels has failed on, and if he's gonna truly be a good head coach, he'll be critical of himself and not try to suck himself off the way KnoBrain does constantly.

BRONCOS OFFSEASON OF FAIL CONTINUES

No go for Knowshon in Week One?

Posted by Mike Florio on August 27, 2009 6:53 PM ET

When the Broncos face the Bengals to start the season, they might be without the services of the twelfth overall pick in the 2009 draft.

According to Jeff Legwold of the Denver Post, tailback Knowshon Moreno is not expected to be back to 100 percent by the time Week One rolls around.

Even if Moreno's sprained MCL has healed by September 13, Moreno's conditioning likely will keep him on the shelf.

With LaMont Jordan also missing time due to injury, the current starter is veteran Correll Buckhalter, who arrived via free agency after eight years in Philly.

Peyton Hillis also could shift over from fullback, and Darius Walker could get reps, too.

Oh well. At least they still have Jay Cutler Kyle Orton at quarterback.

stay down bitch!

Moreno Back In Action
After missing time with an injury, Knowshon Moreno was back on the practice field Tuesday at Dove Valley. Sporting an orange jersey designated for players recovering from injury, Moreno worked with the rest of the running backs in full drills at the onset of the session.

Among those backs was also LaMont Jordan, who returned from injury wearing his regular white No. 32 jersey. More to come at DenverBroncos.com following this afternoon’s practice.

Denver QB Situation Getting Dire
<H1 class=postTitle>Denver QB Situation Getting Dire</H1>http://www.blogcdn.com/nfl.fanhouse....n-200-9109.jpgWhile it was thought there would be a transition for the Broncos offense this season, no one could have imagined the nightmare the Broncos may be facing in Week 1 of the 2009 season. In January, the Broncos had a Pro Bowler at the helm. In July, they had Kyle Orton, with Chris Simms backing him up. Now, it's entirely possible they head into Cincinnati on Sept. 13 with Tom Brandstater as their starting quarterback..

With Simms already on the shelf, Orton suffered a finger injury Sunday night against his former team, the <A class=injectedLink href="http://nfl.fanhouse.com/team/chicago-bears/">Bears. The Denver Post is reporting that injury was an open dislocation to his right index finger.

Being right-handed, this poses a huge problem for Orton in terms of throwing the ball. As we all know, the index finger is of paramount importance when trying to throw a football. Still, Orton maintains he's going to be under center come Sept. 13.
"I will be ready to go," Orton said after the game Sunday while trying to hide his heavily bandaged, but not casted, right finger. "I am going to work as hard as I can. I don't know how long I'll be out, but mentally I will be ready to go and I think physically I will be too."
It's admirable that Orton is showing optimism and toughness, but with it being the index finger on his throwing hand, it's not going to be as easy as mind-over-matter. He's still going to have to be able to pass the football with some semblance of accuracy. If he's not, it's Brandstater time.

Brandstater, a rookie out of Fresno State, has completed 10 of 16 passes for 111 yards this preseason. He hasn't thrown a touchdown pass, but has thrown an interception and has been sacked four times. His quarterback rating is 57.0. Even worse news is that these numbers have mostly come against second or third string defenders.

Brandstater was a sixth-round pick for the Broncos after a senior year in which he completed 59.6 percent of his passes for 2.664 yards and 18 touchdowns, to go with 12 interceptions in 13 games.

If the football Gods really hate the Broncos and Brandstater gets hurt, Ingle Martin would be next in line. Martin has appeared in one career NFL game and never attempted a pass.

Also remember the Broncos are dealing with the Brandon Marshall fiasco in Training Camp as well.

Needless to say, Josh McDaniels could use a break. Maybe a miraculous healing job on Orton's index finger in the next two weeks is that break.
Life; it's all about appreciating this little things.LMAO

Moreno could play for Broncos Thursday night

Broncos rookie running back Knowshon Moreno, the club's top draft pick, might play in Thursday's final preseason game against the visiting Arizona Cardinals.

"He would be capable of playing, but I'm not exactly sure if that's the smartest decision," Broncos coach Josh McDaniels said after the team's walk-through practice today.

Moreno suffered a knee injury in Denver's preseason opener at San Francisco, but returned to practice on Tuesday.

"We're going to talk about that, taking all the information into account and making sure we do the smart thing by the player and make sure we're ready for next week," McDaniels said.

I am sure he would break off 300 yds but the donkeys are going to wait and "TURN HIM LOOSE" in the regular season right?

Brandon Marshall is talking to Rod Smith again! Rod will get his head on straight. :) :)

Why The Broncos Won't Trade Brandon Marshall

I know a lot of Bronco fans clamoring for a Brandon Marshall trade. And reports out of New York suggest they might even have a willing partner in the New York Jets. Marshall for a 1st round pick.

Well I'm here to tell you – not happening. Not this year.

Here's why: If the Broncos hold onto him this season and no collective bargaining agreement is reached, Marshall would automatically become a restricted free agent, which allows the Broncos to control his rights.

If the owners and union do indeed reach a labor agreement, Marshall could qualify as an "unrestricted" free agent, allowing him to go as he pleases. If that's the case, the Broncos could simply slap a franchise tag on him. And the going rate for a franchise receiver (according to several agents) is a 1st and 3rd round pick, minimum.

So why would the Broncos bite at the Jets offer? Just a 1st-rounder? Why not just hold onto Marshall for the season and then collect a 1st AND a 3rd at the end of the year? It doesn't make sense to trade him now, unless of course some desperate team makes the Broncos an offer they can't refuse. Are the Jets that desperate? Doubtful.

Also, I'm told Marshall is starting to see the light. (I know, I know, we've heard this before). But this is different. Earlier this week, Marshall extended an olive branch to Rod Smith. He's seeking Rod's help again. He's actually listening this time. Rod and Brandon have been working out together this week, working on the body AND the mind. That's great news for B-Marsh. He needs guidance in his life. And nobody can fill that role better than Rod Smith.

I'm a bolt fan but I would never show the disrespect that this ass clown shows ON ANOTHER TEAMS message board.

Denver will not play a meaningful game against SD this year (or anytime soon) because your team is going to suck major ass and be in the toilet by Halloween. Mcdaniel has that team in complete disarray. What do you expect the players to come out and say junior?
