Anybody watching Hard Knocks? The first episode was pretty good. Dak Prescott story is interesting. He’s hurt again. That Penn State linebacker they got, Micah Parsons, looks like he may be the real deal. Mike McCarthy seems like a good get for them as coach.

Shows like this make a team and individual players look much better than they are.

When the Chiefs were on this show I was excited at how loaded the roster was. Come season time they sucked.

I thought McCarthy came across as a dumbass but that's just me.

Hadn’t seen that. Could be something, could be nothing. But that’s definitely not a situation you hope for.

I remember when they did the Chiefs. If I remember correctly, the big epic moment at the end was when Larry Johnson got paid and they slow-mo'd him running back to the practice field and we know how that worked out.

He has a ring. A lot of people said the same thing about Reid until he proved them wrong.

Personally I think McCarthy is a bad coach. Rodgers won the bowl despite McCarthy (and more glaringly the front office) not because of them.

Dak poisoning the well by outwardly bitching about coaches decisions during practice while being filmed by HBO makes me feel even more blessed with what we have.

He came across as low energy/uninspiring.

His use of Austin Powers “mojo” as a supposed motivational tactic? What the hell was that.

I have to say that I am liking that Parsons kid. He looks like a baller with a good head on his shoulders. Dak showed a side I did not expect. I always thought of him as a clean cut all American goody two shoes. Never thought he would be one to say what he was saying on there.

To me, he seems like a corny mother****er whenever I've heard him talk (not just in the show but in the past). Like bad car salesman vibes.

Sometimes nasty is good, this isn’t one of those times.

If McCarthy was worth a damn as a coach he would have multiple rings. He basically wasted the career of Aaron Rodgers. He's bad. And now we get to see him without Aaron Rodgers. The Cowboys will not make the playoffs with him as coach. Ever.

We can only assume from their cavalier attitude they have not yet partaken the wonderment that is the McGriddle. Let us enlighten them. What happens is the One True God grows them on trees in the Elysian Fields using an heretofore unused incantation.

He then proceeds to magic them down to your local eatery where whatever Ghetto Bastard cook your McDonald’s has rescued from welfare that week proceeds to wrap it in cellophane and pass it along to you, the fortunate consumer.

You proceed to ingest this finery in the vain hope that your obviously overmatched taste buds can somehow grasp the delectable intricacies it is suddenly faced with. Is that egg? why yes it is, and bacon too. But wait-They didn’t add… yes they did, yes they did indeed. They added cheese. And then, then my friends, they wrapped it in a sumptuous pancake bun! This team will never have a winning record under him. I would put hard earned money on that. I give him until mid-2022 before he's out.

It was more than the cursing. It was also his whole demeanor, especially when he was not on the field.

When I read the title, my first thought was Dallas Cheerleaders being BAD...VERY BAD. Oh well, it still football.

That segment on Aden Durde was delightful.

You know it has jumped the shark when every cut player makes the practice squad

This was the most boring season by far. Not sure if the novelty of seeing "behind the scenes" has worn off or if they just couldn't find any interesting stories, but this was pretty dull. The Mahomes fan was great though.

They made it seem that way, but they had to cut 27 guys and only 16 are on the practice squad.

Not to mention the 20 minutes of watching the Mexican O-Lineman's mom cheer in Spanish the whole time......OH OH OH!!!!!!

I get showing the family and their excitement, but they spent way to much time on that crap.....

Hard Knocks you need a very tv personable friendly coach to make it work. Mike McCarthy is not it.

This clip is gonna be amazing when the Chiefs draft this kid to play WR in the 2037 draft and 42 year old Mahomes is still the starting QB.

I feel like I watched a Cowboy's one a few years ago

This year was boring, but I bet the ratings were fine and HBO needs programming. If HBO or someone else didn't want it, I'm sure it would find a home on the NFL Network.
I would think an expansion of it in some way like you suggested is a lot more likely than ending it.

The Cowboys were on All or Nothing a handful of years ago. That's probably what you're thinking of.
