RIP Grumpy Cat
Grumpy Cat, the ubiquitous internet celebrity whose permanent scowl spoke for all of us in our darkest moments, died in the arms of her “mommy” on Tuesday, her family said on Friday. She was 7.
The cat, whose actual name is Tardar Sauce and who hailed from Arizona, died after complications arose from a urinary tract infection, her family wrote on Twitter. “Besides being our baby and a cherished member of the family, Grumpy Cat has helped millions of people smile all around the world — even when times were tough,” according to the post. Many cats have had moments of mini-fame on the internet, but few, if any, have had the reach and staying power of Grumpy Cat. She first rose to prominence six years ago, after her owner posted a photo to Reddit, captioned “Meet grumpy cat.” https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/17/b...-dead.amp.html |

Wow 7?
I have a cat that's 7 that acts like it's still a kitten. Many of them live to be much older than that, pretty young for a cat honestly. |

I always enjoy smart ass reactions......a 7 year old cat generally doesn't die of a UTI is what I meant.
|
7 years too late. House cats suck and should be eradicated from the planet.

Illness is usually a natural cause. Strapping a remotely controlled explosive device to the cat and detonating it would be an example of an unnatural cause. |

7 is young for a cat

I have had 2 indoor/outdoor cats live to 19 years old. 7 is quite young and a UTI seems like an odd thing to die from, it is usually just a matter of antibiotics to clear it up.
RIP Grumpy! |
The cat looked grumpy because of a genetic condition that caused dwarfism. So that might have had something to do with it.
