I think this is one of those movies where the people who were already going to see it aren't going to have their minds changed by reviews, and neither were the people who weren't. And actually I think reviews in general are going that direction. Social media seems to matter more these days. We'll see what the buzz is like this weekend. And, really, what else is anybody going to watch between now and May 6 (Civil War)? At least with regards to the people who are fans of spectacle.

I also believe, as Fire Me Boy! has recently mentioned, that critics can't be trusted anymore.
There's a big difference in how a "critic" views a movie and how the general public view movies and I think that is more disparate than at any time in the 100 years.
A film with below average directing, clunky dialog and storytelling can still be highly entertaining with stellar VFX, the right cast and beloved characters.
Critics dismiss all of that most of the time and focus on the film making itself, making their opinion nearly irrelevant in many cases.
