2021: FA WR's: Corey Davis or Curtis Samuel?

Nate Taylor (from The Athletic) seems to think Veach might be interested in one of these 2 in Free Agency.

So, after factoring in price tag, age and talent, who would you rather have?

Corey Davis, WR, Titans (age 26)
Spoiler!

Curtis Samuel, WR, Panthers (age 24)
Spoiler!

Nate also mentions these other players:

Davis all day.

He’d be perfect at the X.

Chiefshrink 02-22-2021 05:40 PM

Well we really don't know about these guys because both went to teams with horrible passing QB's. Just on the surface if you want a physical dominant WR go with Davis if you want speed Samuel. But we really don't know how good these guys are because they were neutered IMHO going to their original teams.

Davis' size really intrigues me.

Pat needs a big target.

Trent Williams would be a hell of a get in FA. Williams at LT and Niang at RT.

Direckshun 02-22-2021 05:42 PM

Samuels.

Samuels.

Samuels all day.

All day.

He would absolutely explode in this offense. He has so much damn potential.

Chief Northman 02-22-2021 05:43 PM

Neither

Davis gets banged up, can’t seperate and drops too many balls. Samuel is better as a slot/gadget guy which KC already has.

Juju would be a great X. Stop dancing on logos and I’m good with him...

What’s the plan when Fisher returns?

He’d be gone.

Feliciano was one of those guys fighting at the end of the Bills game. He and Chris Jones would have to patch things up.

This was my concern as well with Davis i.e. to the lack of toughness.

Trent Williams is the guy for me that I target the hardest.

Even if they find a way to keep Fisher while
Significantly lowering his cap hit. Williams can play either side. He’s an upgrade at LT for sure, even over a healthy Fisher.

Davis is the WR I like best from that group. Though Samuel does have the ability to separate against 1x1 coverage and is good over the middle.

Davis has only played one full 16 game season. Samuel the same while missing even more games.

Davis is a better more imposing receiver but I'd rather have Allen Robinson.

Oh a million times over - Robinson is the blue ribbon. Not sure if we are shopping in that price range.
