Chiefs coach Andy Reid called Dee Ford a "tremendous person" and complimented his high motor. Said looks forward to bringing him in the mix.

Glad he complimented someone he needs to be successful in order for him to keep his job. Keep up the good journalism.

Love the pick.

We need pass rushers. Look what happened with this defense when Hali and Houston got hurt. Great pick.

@ArrowheadAddict: Picking Dee Ford means KC likes his medicals.

…Which means KC got the second best pass rusher in the draft behind Clowney.

Great post. Really good pick. **** the whiners.

Good point...the Chiefs used all but a few seconds of their clock. I think they wanted to move down, but probably didn't have a partner willing to participate. Too bad.

Dee Ford is a good player, but damn...it sure looks like a reach.

Keep repeating that until the Chiefs realize they have a dumpster fire of fail at WR.

They ignored the position in free agency, and now in the first round of the draft.

Our receivers weren't the reason we gave up a 4 td lead...

This pick is the definition of sexy. You guys will understand come week 6 when Ford snaps Manning's neck and hands it back to him.

ChiTown 05-08-2014 09:11 PM

If you are gonna reach at 23, go Lee. We have No WR's worth a mother ****. Gawdamn

l4z4rd 05-08-2014 09:11 PM

Lee and Dennard on the board and they go Ford...unbelievable.

And they're telling all of us they're a rebuilding team that is concerned with replacing aging expensive players. Teams that think they are a legit contender don't do some of the things this one has.

It's a rebuilding team that is shedding contracts.

InChiefsHeaven 05-08-2014 09:12 PM

I just kinda sat there and went...huh. OK. I guess.

Glad we at least went defense. Would have preferred safety, but we can always use pass rushers and people here have been saying Tamba is gone next year anyway. Pay Houston and hope this dude can be a Tamba i guess.

At least it wasnt' a ****ing guard.

Hell even the ones they signed can be cut after this season even Bowe...

So when do the Chiefs expect to be competitive again?

When Alex Smith is 50?

Chiefs with 8 Pro Bowl players last year are choosing to go into rebuild mode, rather than all in to try to compete for a Super Bowl.

That summarizes this offseason and the current state of this pathetic franchise.

Mr_Tomahawk 05-08-2014 09:12 PM

I'd rather emulate the Seahawks more so than the Donkeys.

mlyonsd 05-08-2014 09:12 PM

Looks like the chiefs have the QB's they think they can win with and are looking to neutralize horse face Jr.

That's a lot of dropped balls.

Should have traded Hali last year, but maybe we could get into the second or third round.Time for him to go.

Rain Man 05-08-2014 09:12 PM

He was my fourth choice after Bridgewater, Marquise Lee, and Darqueze Dennard. He wasn't completely inexplicable, but I have concluded that the Chiefs will never draft a quarterback in my lifetime. It's a waste of time to watch them.
